please help! i downloaded melodyne editor, but ableton cannot find it as a plugin, it asks me to search costum folders only since it doesnot find anything when i activate and scan plugins. what am i doin wrong?

ps. i have no other 3rd party pluginsso im new to plugins. HELP!! lol

@alizespiano Go into Ableton's preferences and under FILE PREFERENCES locate the folder under which the melodyne DLL file is installed. THis is the folder where ALL of your VSTs Dll files should be stored. THis is the folder through which Ableton picks up the plugins on your HDD and shows them as a list when you press the plugin button. Hope this helps.

Melodyne looks awesome, but the audio transfer sux big time, re-record the audio out of the plugin into another track??? That would be ok 10 years ago.

i have ableton and melodyne and i installed the melodyne plugin, and it accepts it, but when i turn on the plugin and melodyne starts up i cant transfer the sound to melodyne, and melodyne doesn't automatically start a new project, it sits there waiting for me to make a new one. can anyone help me fix this?

is it possible to just freeze the ableton track with melodyne on it instead of having to re-record into another track cause ableton has a freeze and flatten feature?

Bottom right. There's show/hide buttons. If your not seeing the mixer controls they will be greyed out. Otherwise they're yellow. The ones i think you want are called "I-O" (in/out) and "M" (mixer section)
