It would be cooler if Aaroniero actually was Kaien and Rukia didn't actually kill him and he didn't have that two head in a floating jar form either. He just faded away and then re-emerge having eaten all the fallen Espada to become all powerful. Think of it in the aspect of Aaroniero actually being Kaien and the new final boss.

He had Barragan's Death Breath, Ulquiorra's speed and regeneration, Nnoitra's defense or Hierro, Starrk's cero and wolf abilities, Szayel's abilities, Yammy's strength, and Zommari's abilities. Plus he had the combined power from all of them + Tousen + all the fallen Fraccion + Wonderweiss + Rudobōn.

He can create his own minions and turn them into energy wolves similar to Lillynete.

And he was actually manipulating Aizen the whole time even while he was a shinigami. Turned Aizen evil, allowed himself to get taken over by a hollow, yet was still in control the whole time to force one of his subordinates to kill him. So he can re-emerge in Hueco Mundo and become a hollow, then when he met Aizen again as he had tainted Aizen with the fascination of hollowfication, he would become an Arrancar, only to get Aizen to gather all the strongest Espada together and lure Ichigo there.

All of the Espada would die, but Kaien with his new Hollow Powers can devour their dead corpses and acquire all their abilities, plus all other powerful Arrancars and Tousen and any other fallen hollowfied shinigami, since their hollowfied forms would make them acceptable for him to absorb their powers once he had feasted upon them. Using Aizen along with other Shinigami to accomplish all of this, while he simply faked his own death when he fought against his subordinate was all his plan.

Then in the new Saga he would return tricking some stupid sap to release Aizen, who has become powerless, but still maintaining that key component of immortality. All Kaien has to do is force Aizen through hollowfication then consume him and then Kaien will be invincible.

That is how this series would have been played out, because Kaien would be an even worse ultimate foe in terms of story potential as compared to Aizen. I mean Aizen had no relationship with the main character.

But Kaien, he taught Rukia everything she knows and she deeply admires him like Momo admires Aizen. He could manipulate Rukia which would make him the ultimate foe for Ichigo. Cause imagine being forced to kill Rukia to save his family should Kaien go after them.

Kaien: "So, Ichigo... Tell me... who will you sacrifice, your dear friend or your beloved family! Rukia or Isshin, MAKE YOUR CHOICE!"

This is just my theory, but perhaps they were twins, a boy and a girl, and were forced to share a body for some strange reason? If you saw the episode, there was a filler late 130's, early 140's that had Kon in a stuffed dog's body, in that episode there was a hollow dog with two heads, two seperate dogs as we found out later. maybe what happened to the dogs happened to Aaroneiro.

Dude, he's Espada #9. It doesn't matter which Hollow type you are, (though you were right with saying he's Gillian- not an Adjucaarrancar ;) like the most Espada), as long as Aizen chose you for that rank.

Also.. Arroniero was the only one Espada, who was just a Gillianarrancar (weakest Hollowtier). But because of his special ability he contined to grow even after the arrancarizing, which Aizen knew, and acknowledged.
