no way you are wrong, was at it last year and ive been to 6 different countries and i never had a holiday like it in my life, out jiving at 10 in the morning, the atmosphere is fantastic. :)
Well sure, as a single woman you probably did have a wonderful time; with ninety guys asking you to dance. Don't try to rosy-up what was a very unpleasant, Reject-Central experience though, and I'm not alone as plenty of other guys felt the same. If you had a good time, kudos to you, you just need to realize what's fun for some is disappointment to others (and I'm naturally an optimist & I feel this way about the event).
hey teddy bear, :)aww ,. ok, yea i understand wot you are saying, i suppose the girls are out numbered by 10 to 1. lol..... but hi, im bringing all my girlfriends this year,so maybe it will be different this year,...haha. i really loved the atmosphere, and im looking forward to heading to county clare in september, :):):):):) regards lana. :)
TeddyEBear1972, Im sorry to hear you had a bad time at Lisdoon but please come back to Ireland and visit Temple Bar in Dublin, which is pretty much a singles festival 365 days of the year, but sure Ive always noticed that when you get in the pub at 7 o'clock they all look a bit rough but by 12 O'clock they're all models, not a swamp donkey nor moon pig to be seen.
Lisdoonvarna's Matchmaking Festival was a festival for singles 100 years ago....NOW, it is a middle-aged mens (repeat, MEN's) smoking and drinking party. Singles, spare yourself the agony and don't go, you will regret it.
