I remember I stumbled into a bear once. I was less than 15 yards from it, unarmed. Quite intimidating hah. I live up in Fairbanks, Alaska. Theres much more wildlife up here.
@nookief Yes, they are dangerous especially if you stumble upon them after they've made a kill. That summer we had many different bear encounters in our yard. Last year we didn't have any. In Anchorage we don't generally have trouble with bear. We're more likely to get hit by a car walking down the street than getting attacked by a bear or moose. It still happens, however, we still live life and enjoy playing outside and enjoying nature. Thanks for your question!
@nookief Most sources say to play dead and curl up in a ball, but some say to stand your ground and even fight sometimes. Best advice...stay in your car.
I worry about my kitties & coyotes & owls & hawks here in Malibu, you kids had better be on your toes & always have an eye out for those fellas, especially when mama has da babies. You babies be safe when enjoying nature! Cool.
fignew1 nothing finer than baby animals. Such a shame we humans are messing with their lives, homes, etc. we humans need to have less so animal mamas can have their share without fear of humans.. Love this, keep it up!!!
kids, you are so so lucky to see them for real. Where we live my kids are lucky to see wild rabbits and squirrels. It's lovely to hear your voices whilst I watch your bears. Love from The Hopgoods in the UK
You are so lucky to live at a place where you can experience nature up close like this. With the population of people growing, it is important to learn how to live close to wild animals and coexist together, in harmony. :>)
It can be dangerous at times when you have wildlife around the house. We had a summer place where we would get wolves & a cougar once in a great while... Now those cats let off a pretty loud scream! Thank you for sharing this video with us... I liked it!!! David

I stumbled into a blindworm once. I was less than 5 feet from it, unarmed. Shat my pants, really.
By the way, the video is perfect! Judging from what I've seen in various videos now, Anchorage seems to be the place to be.

@nookief And whatever you do, never come between a momma bear and her cubs. There's nothing more dangerous.
