As a working registered nurse in the State of Ohio I have no health insurance. I am ashamed to be a registered Republican. The Republican lie, cheat, ofter half-truths, slant the facts, and are out of touch with America. Congressmen have health insurance paid for by the American people and it's the best in the U.S.A. Republicans don't want anyone else to have anything near their health plan due to kick-backs, bribes, gifts, campaign contributions received from Insurance Companies.

Government healthcare in Canada works great! You have been brainwashed. The head of the Canadian healthcare system was on C-Span to dispel the myths that people like you are passing around. You hear about the wait times. Very rare and only in a few provinces. And if a person has to come to the US for care, the Canadian government pays for it. Not one person in Canada would trade their system for ours. They laugh at us!

My neighbor's dog looks a lot like Mr. Isakson. My neighbor's dog however has a lot more substance in its barks. "Johny" brings up a lot of misconceptions about the Dems. push for health care reform and spits a wishlist of nice to haves in health care, however, there is no substance to his conversation. How is the GOP going to improve quality, and choice? They have never said, nor do they have any serious proposal before congress.

Census bureau #'s officially state that the biggest transfer of wealth to ever occur in US history just happened under the cheney/bush administration, taken from the middle class and giving to the hyper wealthy. Also ANOTHER record breaker by bush, the avg median income went DOWN for the first time in US history under a two term president by 4%!

superpiano: where do you get your news? Repubs have offered HR3400 in the House and S.1099 in the Senate. Both of these bills are waaaaaaay better than the Democrat bills. The Repub bills (even though I don't like them) make changes where changes would reduce health care costs and do not create a lot of new bureaucracies just to increase spending and politicians' power. (Dem bill HR3200, which passed in the House, would create 53 new government bureaucracies and empower the IRS...ran out of room

He flat out lies when he says that health care reform will reduce Medicare benefits. The reforms he refers to have to do with increasing efficiencies and reducing waste.

He asks, what's the rush? There's no rush, this debate has been going on for decades.

He warns of trillions of added debt to our national debt. Truth is, we spend more than twice as much as any other country for our health care. If we don't change the system this will only get worse.
