  • Never heard this before. Just wow.

  • Thanks for sharing David Cook's early talent of writing and singing some great songs.

  • love his voice in this song

  • awesome song, missing you up front and centre!!!

  • i love this. i wish he would do more songs like this

  • I love this song!!!!! Can you send me a link where I can download this amazing song??

    Thanks!!! :)

  • I did vote for Cook, He is a winner!

  • Respect.

  • wow. this really sounds like creed to me.

I really like this song. and I love analog heart

  • I like this song. His diction is not a good as now. I like rock stuff but not a big fan of grunge. Don't get me wrong I LOVE DC Period.

  • Cook didn't write this. It was written by Neal Tiemann who is now in his band and who was also the principal songwriter on MWK, David's band prior to Idol. I do like this a lot, though.

  • I know I would love to own analog heart its sooo amazing and it has more of a rock edge than his new one. Analog heart is all Cook. haha :-)

  • This is sooo amazing. This could be an instant hit!!!

  • I know! Weird thing, I like his pre-IDOL albums more than I like his current album. I still dig his songs...it's just that his previous compositions sound raw and amazing and COOKified.

  • wow..for a skool project!? this should have been for BIG bucks!!

  • Could David really BE any more anazing? Apparently so! <3

  • yeah do you have lyrics for this song i like this song:) thank you xx

  • i posted a video response...it has the lyrics on it..=)

  • is this Axium? his old band...

  • no this is not from axium.

it's from the time he was in the band MWK but it's not an official MWK song.

this song was for a project david did for school.

neal from MWK wrote this song for david.

  • thanks

  • love this song (:

  • god i love him

  • man! his songs sound autobiographical.

  • i love it

i sing it all the time

  • Well, he's pretty versatile vocally, I'll give him that. ;D awesome vid.

  • This is actually a song written by Neal Tiemann of Midwest Kings. This is a demo version Dave sang for him while in Tulsa in 2003. It was for Neal's solo project and never released

  • Yeah he absolutely sounds like the singer from Creed. 8)

  • this is david cook.

gosh you people don't know anything about him.

  • I wasn't implying that he WAS the singer from Creed. I was only comparing their voices. Sorry for the misunderstanding...?

  • oh well. nobody compares to david cook.

not even the singer from creed.

    sorry to burst everyones bubble.

  • HAHHAHAHHAHAH :D

  • Hm, is this really him? It sounds a little more like... well, Scott Stapp formerly of Creed comes to mind. XD

  • omfg 2:30 sooo hot...

idk i just love itttt <3

  • I like the song too. He really is amazing! Everything he does is great. He's an INCREDIBLE song writer... he's got SOOOO much depth. I'm wondering if this might be on the album he was working on when he auditioned for AI.

  • holy fucking god! i cannot belive. i thank god for youtube!

  • holy shit !!!! I keep stumbling on more and more amazing stuff of his and as a word nerd, I thought I had heard all of it......this man is our generations legend, mark my words

  • o0o0o0ooo

i have some axium songs and all of analog heart

but ive never heard this track before

    i want ittttt lol.

  • It's not an Axium song, it was a solo attempt, but he didn't promote the Cd. It was a hardcopy of what eventually evolved into Analog Heart, the cd was called A Second Chance at a First Impression. =D

  • What the hell does rofl mean? someone wrote it in my yearbook and i was like what the hell does that mean and he said that he wasn't going to tell me! does anyone know?

  • i'm not sure, i don't use those stupid acronyms either :) but i'm guessing it's something like rolling on floor laughing... just a guess

  • rolling on the floor laughing

  • LOL to funny huh, I had to ask at one time too, Thank God it wasn't one of my kids. I'd never live that one down. One up MOM

  • I love the band here...the band that Cook is going to have with AI has got to be the most rocking awesome band ever!

  • Wow...he really rocked it...i loved the grittiness of this.

  • He sounds like the lead singer of Creed

  • Agreed!

  • yeah, no wonder his voice sounded so familiar. hahaha! whooo ;

  • oooh my good you're so rigth he sounds like that

  • I looked it up and it was a song on an unreleased album by David Cook, called A Second Chance at a First Impression. Someone said it was the hard-copy of what evolved into the cd, Analog Heart.

  • wordnerd08--you rock! Thanks for posting these gems!! I can't get enough of David Cook! Keep them coming.

  • I LOVE HIM! This is amazing XD!!!!

He sounds different now. But still AMAZING. Better, almost.

  • I love this song! Wish we could find out when it was written and what it was intended for. The site it was on was formed in 2004, when Axium was still active, so I think it's one of their shelved songs. Not sure, though.

  • I think this is from a website he did in College. Maybe for a graphic arts class or something.
