@FNGLHR I don't... cite shows, I took 3 astronomy classes, 3 maths, and 2 physics in college, besides that I like science and keep up with what is new and relevant, taught my self basic electricity. This astronomer its entitled to say there is nothing to worry about, and sure why not but as far as physics goes; could the sun produce a CME that could blow anything electric on one side of the earth? sure it can not difficult, not that improbable. We only had this much technology for 100 years.

As others have said here, it could cause problems, but it won't shift the poles. And we have been hit by some rather big solar flares and we're still here, so, no it doesn't work that way. You can't just say one thing and then say another.
