say NO to RPB! :) Kaii Yoshida is awesome.... in this match he wins a SET against the World Champion in this Tournament!!! and thats pretty damn good...
not sure i was at this table tennis not to long ago and all the chinese players would yell that out so iasked what does cho exactly mean and he said its mean to win... i dnt kno hat language buddy
Like many China-born players representing countries outside China, Yoshida is a "second class" player and has never achieved ultimate greatness in the table tennis sport. Because China has taken the leading role for the last 20+ years to provide its players with continuously innovative playing styles and techniques that none of these countries can match. Besides, China has the largest population of the world; therefore, it produces the largest pool of talented top players of the world.
@tyoungos It was only in the very late nineties that you can start to talk about 'dominance', besides, sweden was World Champ in 2000! Last 20+ years ago, for at least 10 years, it was Sweden and their neighbours who dominated! Don't exaggerate...
lol wang hao knows. as soon as he saw yoshida use backhand topspin with jp penhold like that, he started doing 15-30 degree alternates on yoshida's bh corner. the recovery time for swinging out like that on the jp penhold is longer. ez pts for wang hao like that :)
So the Chinese "big 4" (Wang Hao, Wang Liqin, Ma Long & Ma Lin) dominated again, making it through to the semi-finals. It's a shame there were no upsets, but to quote Micheal Maze "a lot of players (such as Kenta Matsudaira) come close, but the Chinese always win in the end."

It seems the version from the ttcountenance is the best. Superb video quality. It makes me watch this game again even I watched it somewhere else.

Good video, but you don't need to leave that message at the top of the video box for the whole video.

what does "cho" mean? ping pong players say it all the time...
Pewpshmear 2 years ago
It's what some players say when they win a point. It's sort of a celebrating shout, or something...

Wang Hao played to Yoshida's backhand all the time, using his RPB to his advantage

Yoshida gave his life performance in the first three games, but gave up in the last two games.

the only player who uses RPB is wang hao and ma lin.....

Xu Xin, Li Ching, Ko Lai Chak, Kan Yo.
Xu Xin uses it just about all the time (like Wang Hao), the rest of them use it rarely.

Yoshida played well in the tournament, and he is using Chinese Penhold. BUT, if Ryu Seung Min or Zhang Chao were there, you never know the outcome~

Wow, the traditional backhand at 1:53 was the best one I've ever seen, followed up with one of the best sidespin forehands as well. Amazing.
