  • When I saw the film I was convinced it wasn't finished. I was right. It's dreadful.

  • This film was terrible, and one of the reasons the UK film industry collapsed in the 1980's. It was made in the UK and is rabidly anti-British.

The Minuteman at 2.2t has a percussion cap musket, 60 / 70 years too early.

To include this in a close-up can only be described as "Epic Fail".

  • i think this is the battle of kips bay because of the fleeing patriots

  • @gobabygo90809

No I don't think its kips bay. Manhattan was not that Hilly in that part of the island and I don't see any water around. British attacked from the river, which is apparently nowhere around.

  • Me put the "psalm 23 on the shore" into youtube.

  • Is this the Battle of Brooklyn?

  • how dare they Hide behind rocks! the cowards =D

  • there yanks remember...

  • I honestly don't see the problem critics had with this film on it's release. It's a gorgeously-shot, well written story, with a solid performance from Pacino. As a sign of the times, Annie Lennox shows up in one scene.

The only real bum note the film strikes is Donald Sutherland hamming it up as a villainous Redcoat.

  • 2:27 Percussion locks didn't exist yet, but in this film someone already has one. Strange.
