It's just Half Life 1 almost unchanged ported to Source. It has the basic graphics and geometry. The crossbow acts like the rebar crossbow, though, there are limited physics as much as the old models allows, all music in the game is now an MP3, and there are some polished effects like reflection and detail textures when yer close to the walls.

I also downloaded the fan Hi Def pack (which normally wouldn't work with HL source)

Yup, but it's the original Half Life in the Source engine, so there's light physics, correct shadows, enhanced radiant lightning and some other stuff you might notice when you play.

True, this is Source. But the gravgun is not available for some reason. It's not really a direct mod with HL1 splothced over HL2.. it's a real seperate game that uses Source's code.
