@darkmountains7 I'm with you there..... love Doris and Cary. He could do it all.... comedy - drama. He really is one of the best ever. And so is Doris for that matter ! Doris' version of this song is based almost entirely on the Billie Holiday version of the song and Doris certainly acquits herself as a great artist. She doesn't imitate Holiday but brings to the song her own qualities.

Doris is one of my top 3 or 4 favorite female singers, but the best version of this is by one of those favorites, Peggy Lee, on a CD called Love Songs, it's very slow, breathy, right into the mike, better than the version by Peggy that's here on YouTube.
