  • A true believer.? There is no true believer and fasle believer your are either chosen or not. Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.? Christ had not yet died the Spirit was not given. That was a message for Jews preparing for the Messiah coming. They could not repent to Christ they did not know Him. How can you sin a sin unto death when your condition is death sin unto death is physical for believers only.Your saying Christ is vindicated by works proving salvation real that is the old law.

  • Really Mr Washer so your passion and effort saved?Whether saved in two seconds or twenty hours that man was God's elect and would have been saved.Don't worry all the elect are the elect and can't be lost.If you have a lifetime of faith that needs constant repentance you are in a church that has bound you up in sin.WE are to leave the doctrine of repentance unto better things.Christ is not a minister of sin.

  • @polopowers1 It wasn't his passion or effort that saved, but his faith in Christ. He made a choice to leave the world and be of the elect of God. If you believe that you can remain in your sin and be called the elect of God you are mistaken. In fact, Paul would have excommunicated such a person from the church.1 Cor 5:5 Read the command to believe. The Greek word is a present imperative which implies it is ongoing. If you're in a church that preaches you only need to have believed once, get out!

  • @ndrummer99 The man in ICor 5 was a Christion read 2Cor not admonished but the Church at Corinth for expecting more repentance also signs and works to prove him real. Paul admonished this and told them to receive him before Satan got the advantage.Nobody makes a choice to leave the world to follow Christ, Christ must be the One who sanctifies Many saints remain in their sin and die in their sin( physically) Read 1 John 5 There is sin unto death.Constant repentance is a focus on sin Heb 6 1,2

  • @polopowers1 Where does it state he was a Christian? If leaving the world isn't man's choice why does Scripture say anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God? You are right that God is the initiator, we love because he first loved us, but love is not love without choice. How do you know the sin unto death speaks of only a physical death and not a spiritual one as well? If you remain in sin you will see a death of spiritual life. We must live lives of repentance.

  • @ndrummer99 he was a Christion in 1Cor 5:5 Deliver such a one unto Satan that his flesh may be destroyed but his spirit saved. Paul is not reproving the world but the Church for not disciplining a believer ( you don't discipline an unbeliever) 1John is not written for un believers as an admonision not to sin a sin unto death all their sin is a sin unto death (phy spiritual)Also 2Cor 2:4 to11 read Paul says restore the person who sinned.1John 5 vs 16 if anyone see his brother sin.not unbeliever.

  • @polopowers1 Isn't that an assumption. A man committing incest doesn't sound like a Christ follower to me. So if an unbeliever is committing incest in the church you can't discipline him? If an unbeliever is in the church and claims to follow Christ he is eligible to be judged by the church. 1 John 5:16-17 is addressing how we as believers should deal with sin in another believer. So if sinning doesn't matter in a believer life why is he even addressing this? It does matter. Immensely.

  • @ndrummer99 Believers commit all manner of sins. Self righteousness is behavior oriented. You cannot counsel a believer in adutery, or murder, or incest because you assume they could not be saved committing such acts.Your scope is limited to what looks right must be right Repentance, serving, going to Church etc.You have no idea of the potential of your own heart to commit sin. We shoul be imitators of Christ however we are talking about whether a believer can commit incest or sin unto death, yes

  • @polopowers1 Paul made a distinction between sins. There is a sin that does not lead to death and there is a sin that does lead to death. Paul didn't expound on what sins are sins that lead to death, but I guess that's not the point. The point is verse 18, "We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin." Anyone who claims to be a believer and lives in continual, unrepentant sin is not born of God. Christ said we would know false prophets by their fruit. Fruit reveals authenticity.

  • @ndrummer99 They will know false prophets by fruit not belivers. You just described the cross as meaningless A believer whom is the one who commits the sin unto death does not repent he loses his soul.?All my sin past , present, future is dead in Christ. My salvation is not contingent on my repenting. Sin depends not on me repenting before death, impossible.Your stuck on the righteousness of behavior . If a person does not measure up to expectation he is lost, impossible Saints live sin and die

  • @polopowers1 So how can a true believer not bear fruit? Matthew 3:8 says, "Produce fruit in keeping with repentance." The cross means death to self. How can we who have died to sin continue in it? Yes, a believer who commits the sin unto death spiritually dies. That is why it's called a sin unto death. Without repentance their is no salvation, just religion. In Christ we are justified having his righteousness. We are also sanctified, being made into his likeness. That is why we abide in Christ.

  • @ndrummer99 How can a faggot like you walk around God's Earth? How does God not smite you immediately? The answer is simple. He wants people to learn from their mistakes. In Genesis it may have been woman-kind who have eaten the fruit from original sin but faggots and pedophiles (same thing) like yourself continue to walk upon God's Earth and spew your hatred against God Almighty, His Son, and the Holy Ghost.

  • @polopowers2 I am not a homosexual, Ok, now that we have that cleared up I would like to ask where on earth did that accusation come from? Haha. And furthermore, what hatred have I spewed against God? I love God with all my heart, mind, and soul. In Revelations, John talks about a people who are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, and because of there lukewarmness God says he is going to spit them out of his mouth. I don't know about you, but I don't want lukewarmness to be an attribute of my walk!

  • CHRIST AND CHRIST ALONE!

    AMEN.

It's so trendy for 'Christians' to go back and observe the Law these days; to be "TORAH OBSERVANT".

    ANATHAMA!

These people have forgotten the superiority of Christ.

  • Amen, Jimmy! I want to be your friend!

  • @JimmyTheKirkie Christ came to fulfil the law. Paul knew sin because of the law. The woman who loved Christ much knew she was forgiven much. How can we know how much we have been forgiven if we ignore the law? How can we know what Christ died for if we didn't have a law to break?

  • @samtorrance5590 To KNOW the Law and to be BOUND under the Law are not the same things! If you want to eat kosher, go to Jerusalem 3x a year, wear tassels on the corners of your clothing, etc, etc...be my guest! That's up to you. I don't care what others do. No one can walk your walk just as no one can walk mine!

  • @JimmyTheKirkie To have conviction of the sin you are still living in is not a bad thing. The Holy Spirit convicts us and causes to turn away from things that displease God continually. And it's Christ's love that compels us to live a more godly live. I'm meaning the moral law, things that are mentioned in the new testament, such as sexual immorality, blasphemy, fornication etc.

  • @samtorrance5590 OH OK. Got ya :)

  • My Prayer:

Lord, give us more Paul Washer's. Amen.

  • I thank God for Paul Washer, may the Lord bless him and keep him always, a beloved man of God who is bold and truthful to God's Word. I love him in the Lord.
