I think most of you are missing the point. I don't agree with a lot of what Bush says, but unlike the folks at Nationals Park, I'm going to show some respect for the Office of the President of the United States. I don't care if you respect the man or not, but at least respect the office.
he shows no respect for the office....he should be hung at a stadium..he has destoyed the credibility of this country..want me to continue...worst prez in history...
I wouldn't go as far to say he has shown disrespect to the office of the president, but even if he did, what gives you or any of those who booed him the right to do the same? We should be pushing for a higher standard. It's a two way street.
Migo, do u ever think about how to respect higher figures instead of sticking to your rebellious juvinile ways that earn you nothing in the long run?
well I'm 16 and seem to know how to show respect to someone to even Bush. THE MAN DID NOT KILL thousands but he made slip ups which caused many deaths(that is true)
but he is just not suitable for the Country in general
Patriotism makes lot of people blind to the facts. Just because he's the freaking president doesn't make him immune to criticism.
Bush and his goons didn't protect anybody from jack shit. The war in Iraq has brought nothing but pain, death, and debt to this country. We took down Saddam, big deal. If anything, I see the Iraq war as Bush's personal avenging crusade for this dear daddy. Need I also remind you of the bullshit that is the Patriot Act?
Admittedly, I was a Bush-Hater.
But that's truly disgraceful to boo him like that...

Horrible lack of respect for a sitting president. It is just that simple.

But it's part of democracy to boo a sitting president.
BNPsupporter4life 3 years ago
Respect should be held. Now, if that was a high dem like Obama or Dean, hell, if someone booed, there would no doubt be a much stricter penalization.

If he had shown respect I guess he would get respect!

What on earth are you talking about? If that were a Democrat you would have been booing! Get a hold of yourself you maniac!!

Whats your point????

The thing is, how many times does Bush appear before the general public, that is, a group which is not pre-selected to react favorably to him?
I'd bet it's not more than once or twice a year.

I was there and I booed. I don't see what's wrong with it -- freedom of speech, right?
There were two big American flags in center field. THOSE I applauded. The Color Guard I applauded. But I don't have to applaud a president I hate.

Failed presidents get booed. Bush is a failed president.
We'll see come this November who the winners and losers are. It won't be the Bush crowd.

Right, protecting us from those nasty Iraqis who attacked us on 9/11.
