I started from pole in this race and was involved in this crash, sponsorship is what pays for racing at this level. I am by no means well off, some are.
It's how you market yourself based on results in lesser (cheaper) classes that gets you on the grid in a championship like this if you are not very well off.
I agree, I race at a similar level and horses are no way as much as motorbikes, give last season for example I crashed out at thruxton and I snapped the bearing and blew the exshaust and it's alot more than horse an then just taking part and the travelling, horses don't come no where near the cost.
@jballzzz some of these kids have parents who work very very hard to get there kids racing and are in no way financially secure, i should know my nephew and niece race in a class below this and it aint easy getting the money together. so please get your facts straight before you comment!
i race and u dont expect it still and that occupational hazardstuffs crap it still gets u in shock either way u cant really tell if u are goin to crash until the last millisecond

Not to the same degree.
Racer's deal with it as it's an occupational hazard, street riders don't expect it.
