@MatthewPZC @Dobkera @EvignoRealm @Alcest9870 Hmm, after some discussion with the game's creator on the forums for the game, it seems that you are all correct - it is supposed to play by default. It seems there's an unkown bug that makes it not play for me until I backtrack.

I didn't have to backtrack, it just started playing as soon as I got to the Final Level. However, that didn't stop the MASSIVE EARGASM. I wish this were in the in-game jukebox SO hard.

The only time you have to backtrack is in time trial.

It DOES play by default in time trial, but then plays the regular version.

So, go a screen right and back, it'll start playing it again.

When I was playing VVVVVV, and got to the path to the final level, I heard this song.

I didn't backtrack or anything, it was playing by default.

And yes it is VERY good.

It's actually on your way to the "Last" level. It's after you save the 5th crew member, it will just start playing. Dunno what's so "Hidden" about this song nor what need of backtracking you mentioned is involved.

@Alcest9870 Actually, the version you describe is the normal version of Predestined Fate, which plays during the two intermission levels. The normal version usually plays during the first half of the Final Level as well (before Captain Veridian turns off the Dimensional Stability Generator), but if you go one screen right from the start and backtrack to the start of the level, the remixed version will start to play. It's VERY noticably different from the original version of the song.

@MTigress Untrue. I didn't backtrack at all in The Final Level, and it still played. And I DON'T mean in Time Trial, either. Trust me, this track is meant to play no matter what in The Final Level.

@MTigress When I started playing the final level.... this song played immediatly with no backtracking whatsoever. And some other people said that to so....... you're wrong.

This one is really awesome. I actually prefer it over the original. But that's probably just because listened to that one more than a bazillion times…
