I'm not sure which guitar Greeny used for I Loved another woman. Is it his signature tone LesPaul?
One of PGreen's unique style is his fade out phrasing .which keeps listeners guessing & imaging little fill ups.I tried my best to express it.Thanks for these wonderful/ inspiring comments.
@fieldfullofthistles Thanks for your inspiring comment.I played it through a Zoom digital processor & 6inch speaker local made amp.Orange amp wd have been great.Analog stomp box is my thing, digital processor is too much of a good thing for me(Process too much)tries to take away your touch n feel.I tried to beat it.ha ha
@Bluezking Im pretty sure its his 59 Les Paul with the pick up in the middle position (out of phase) and lots of reverb of course. For a while he used a matamp series 2000 and matching reverb unit. The series 2000 went out of production of courseand is now a collectors item. I bought one in the 80s for £60 and accidentally burnt out the transformers (forget to plug my speaker leads in!) Matamp in Huddersfield reissued them - cost about £1100.
I love the vintage tone. great feel to your playing as well. I am sure your Mother looks down from heaven and is well pleased. I am so happy to see you playing your classic strat. take good care Bluezking. I wish you the best....
