  • La nada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Used very well for the Formula One motor racing grid line-up on BBC in the earlier days of Murray Walker.

  • Amazing film. People just don't have the imagination and creativity to make a film like this nowadays :(

  • Well i've got the special DVD-box with the English Versiob of the movie, the book and some postcard-lithos.

  • I'm an avid fan of The Neverending Story, as I've got the dvd films, a computer game of it, a vinyl 45rpm single of the song by Limahl, as well as the book by Michael Ende.

Out of all the films though, I much prefer the original starring Barrett Oliver and Tami Stronach! :)

  • absolutely fabiolus!!!

  • Are there a couple of scenes from Dr. Dolittle in this?

  • @liwiathan

hihihi, no .. afcourse not xD

  • @112Klaasje Te original, not the Eddie Murphy one.

  • FALLLLLLLKOR!!!!!

  • one of my farts was when atrayu was going through the swamp after loseing his hourse and the wolf chaseing after him and the luck dragon snatching him up right before the wolf launches at him EPIC

  • This film is so sad it allways makes me cry like a little child, but the part where you see the ivory-tower for the first time makes my hair stand up and the tears run from my eyes in pure awe.

If there ever was one thing from a dream or movie I could make real it would be the Ivory-tower.

  • One pole position it's Ayrton Senna and next to him is on the front row it's Alain Prost. In 3rd place it's the Ferrari of Gerhard Berger

  • @JamieErwin1986 lol yeah. Murray Walker, Senna, Prost, Berger and Neverending Story, what a nice combo :)

  • @JamieErwin1986 In about 1988 they would probably have been Murray Walker's actual words spoken over this music on several occasions. Wonderful memories of both a great film and classic Formula 1!

  • Actually the kids DOES enter the world in the first movie as well. It is an excellent movie. That wolf part scared the hell out of me as a child.....STILL does.

  • I always thought the bat looked more like a pig...

    Classic movie.

  • is this a remix??

  • That guitar tone thats so signature moroder, sort of a processed tone. Does anyone of any non moroder produced tunes with the same tone?

  • J'adore !

  • That was really pretty. Loved it. I haven't seen that movie in ages but I really miss it now!

  • It is a fanastic film, but it's not at all fidel to the book.

  • ARTEX!!!!....

  • this was also the 90s f1 grid theme XD

  • great tune this...

  • I've always loved this song. Had it as a single in the 80s and wished someone would put this up. Thank you very much for this

  • Scary scary wolf D=

  • mi peli favorita ;)

  • This is SO good.

  • ah the 1980s how we miss you; not Thatcher though

  • @tudorHB Why Not? She was so damn sexxxxy!

  • i have the entire soundtrack. i also got a white horse an arabian named bug, whenever i ride her on the trails myself i canter her to this song on my ipod.

i sometimes where my auryn replica with it when im riding

  • "And here is the starting grid for the 1991 Grand Prix of Monaco, Starting on the front row, Ayrton Senna in the McLaren Honda, and Steffano Modena in the Tyrrell.."

  • MARAVILLOSO..!!!

  • in the UK this was used as the starting grid theme for BBC's Formula 1 coverage back in the 90s

  • The wolf was damn scary

  • AMAZING MOVIE

  • Great soundtrack, I have to get it! :)

Wonderful video of a fantastic movie.

  • My god, it must have been 7 years ago that I last watched this movie.

  • and with music like this you can shut your eyes and fly with falcor

    or ride with artex

  • Wonderful movie. Great soundtrack. Nice video.

  • is this the one where the horse dies in the mud?

and is this the film where a little dude accidently enters this world, and has to save something.. then his dad goes to a bookshop & its all closed?

sorry about the bad description, i watched it when i was proper young :L

thaanks to anyone who could reply (:

    xxx

  • The one with the horse dying in the mud is the first movie.

The second description you offered of the dad going into the bookshop and its closed after his enters the world is the second movie.

  • yes

    close. that's actually the sequel

    it's okay

    and you're welcome

  • @DanSolo0119 Well, it's sort of a blend. Artax did sink into mud and die in the first movie...well, you know...sort of die...for a while.

  • @DanSolo0119 To clearify if im not misstaken the first movie id when the horde dies in the mud and the kid enters the realm in the second movie.

  • @KerryGracey: Yes to the first question.

A resounding NO to the second!

  • @KerryGracey u do not like to bad do not comment.

  • @writchey1 sorry what.

  • @KerryGracey

At the end of this movie, the horse, Artax (I think that's his name) turns out to be okay. I liked "Neverending Story", and if the poor animal had remained dead, I wouldn't.

  • Wonderful Job!!!

  • WOW at the 2:04 there is the perfect scene! is wonderfull!

  • awesome video of one of my favorite films! Thank you for sharing!!

  • 1:33

    PERFECT TIMING

  • this is the film that completly changed me inside when i watched it...I was 9 years old...Just fantastic !

  • couldnt agree with you more there.. :)

  • my favorite 80s movies in no order. the neverending story, labyrinth, legend, electric dreams and rock and rule. they all had great music.

  • omg everyone says the scene of artax sinking in the swamp is the saddest scene ever in a movie. but if u look at the expression on the horse's face he is like "um...why the flip are u yanking on my reigns? they are in my mouth ya know :-/"

    xD

  • what an epic adventure... Man...

  • The 80's was the prime for fantasy movies. The three greatest were Neverending story, The Labyrinth and Legend. Very sad how movies these days lack any magic they did then.

  • don't forget willow!

  • What about "Krull"?

  • so true

  • how about Alice in Wonderland the 1985 version

  • I used to have the Limahl 45 record when I was a kid, this was the b-side.

  • for some reason I just thought of this movie name and looked it up, I always had it on the tip of my tongue.. when I was 7 or so I used to own this movie and watched it at least 50 times! brings back so many amazing memories... this movie was and is amazing :)

  • i bet the boy is buffness now that he has grown up!!

  • Best movie for a kid to watch EVER. So many memories. I will be showing this to my future unborn child(ren) for sure. This and Labryrinth. So good!

  • Yes and also Hook...

  • Good call on that one, almost forgot Hook! I saw it in theater when it was released and was totally enthralled. Magical...

  • @OldEQlvl60 I'd also encourage the kids to read the actual book the movie is based on. The movie is great, but the book is better by far!

  • @OldEQlvl60 labryinth is epic david bowie for the win! Dance Magic Dance!

  • Brings a tear to my eyes, loved it

  • forgot about this for about 20 years...used to love this music as a kid. Georgio Moroder again.

  • Best movie....EVER!!!

  • Next to the title theme best song from the movie... The amount of elephants that must have died to make that tower lol

  • The Best music of movie.

  • Ack! I hope they never remake it! This, Legend, Labrynth, the Princess Bride.. You can't improve on perfection! And think how creepy it would be to see computer generated goblins, dragons, unicorns, or anyone other than David Bowie playing Jareth. Leave our classics alone! :P

  • lybrynth gave me so many nightmares as a child ace film though lol

  • Going through some 20 year old VHS videos of BBC Grand Prix highlights, and hearing this song again inspired me to seek this out - as I thought different to the version I remember from the film.

  • No... i just love this !

  • That's exactly how I feel about this! I think the last time I'd ever heard this version of the song was back in 1990!

  • No, it totally has is charm! I dont thionk its an old movie

  • OH MY GOD !

  • something wrong?

  • @DanSolo0119 please tell me how did you get this version where can i find it?

  • This is not the Ivory Tower theme in the American version. It is similar. The one in the movie has a unreal quality to it, less nightclub sounding and soooooooo beautiful. Great video though!!!

  • This is great hun! i love it. Its a great movie. While i was in japan, i had alot of time to spend at my host parent's home (alone) so i watched this movie like 3 times XD its great!

  • hey i got this wicked idea, warner should release a special edition dvd with both the american and the original german versions. that way everyone gets the version they want!

    We all win!

  • That would be awesome

  • 80`s synth + Noah Hathaway = perfection

  • If you want the truth, the Moroder soundtrack is way better. And for what it is worth, the version of the Ivory Tower by Moroder as used in the film was never released outside of the film. So you can't find it anywhere, but in the movie.

  • I just listened to the Moroder version, prefer this one.

  • This is Moroder. But this song is not used in any version of the movie, but it is on the soundtrack. The American version of the film has a variant of this song; while European versions use a completely different song for the Ivory Tower theme.

  • this is my favorite song from the soundtrack.

  • Why the playlist plays all videos automatically?

  • if you want a single song click on that on your playlist, otherwise it's set up to play all on the list. :)

  • Where can I find this playlist??

  • Totally think the BBC should remix this for their grid lineup when F1 returns next year. It worked first time around!

  • the melody sounds familiar but I cannot remember if this particular version was in the show or not.. maybe it is a remix?

  • For GalliaNarbonensis: There is not this remix in the movie, there is an other version, much slower.

    Guido.

  • what the devil is that? Did they really use this peace of music in the American version of the movie?

If yes then thank Gid I'm German!!!

  • This is NOT the American version.

  • the german version by doldinger is so much better

  • fantastic

  • Yah Its so disappointing! I love the actual movie version,it can actually bring tears to my eyes! lol Im a loser I know :)

  • One of the best movies and soundtracks in history!

  • Well I like it!

Suits retro F1 very well I think

  • Wonderful Job! I love it. You;re quite a musician, you would be perfect to compose this theme if there ever was a remake.

  • i HATE this version...the slow score is so much more powerful. fortunately you can do a dvd audio rip.

  • wow you did a good job

  • It's a shame that they didn't produce the film version of the Ivory Tower theme in LP.

  • Somewhere in my attic I have the 12" single of the Neverending Story with the Ivory Tower on the B side....I don't have a record player anymore so I never thought I would hear this again! Many thanks!!

  • My best friend looks just like Falcor; we always tease him about it and say "Aaaatreeeeyuuuuu while jutting our head out and stretching out neck", lol, even when we went to Japan somesaid said he looked like Falcor.

  • The BBC used to use the opening in Formula 1 when the cars were lining up on the grid. It worked really well.

  • glad I've gotten so many comments on this vid. Merry Christmas!!!

  • I've just seen once again the movie... and once again I'm touched by my the music score. Thanks for posting it !!!

  • You're welcome

  • sweet!!

  • i love the dragon i watched it when i was3 makes me wanna cry ym g dad passed it on to me still got it.

    sad film =,[

  • cool vid the ivroy tower themes awesome

  • Hi! This is Jessica from HCC. Really cool video. :)

  • u should see me "Stand my Ground" NES vid. it's just about as awesome as this one.

  • YOU did a nice job. But whoever remixed the song turned it into an atrocity

  • That's not a remix as such. It's the "original" version you can find on the soundtrack on and on the B side of the Limahl single. It's not the version which is in the movie though... :/

  • Sadly true. I liked the version in the movie best.

  • Me too... ;-)

There's also another mix of Neverending Story (the one you hear in the music video) which isn't available on record... *snif* ;-)

  • Very good video! ^_^

  • Cool video!

  • Nice work there Bro!
