Personally, I would love to see more Americans of ALL colours reclaim their Native American ancestry. The Moors were mainly Berbers from Morocco, but also consisted of a minority of Arab leaders, Spanish converts such as the Mozarabs, and a few hired Black mercenaries from Mali and Niger. But the group as a whole was not Black, it was mostly Berbers. Blacks were a tiny minority amongst them as hired mercenaries. It was not a monolithic group.

@TexadaArmsted See my previous comment. About the Canary Islands, they were never inhabited by Blacks. They are in North Africa, but just because it's Africa, doesn't mean they were Black. Africa does not equal Blacks. The Guanches Berbers in the Canaries were North African haplogroup U6 indigenous. Their mummies were well preserved. They visually appear Caucasoid, plus DNA tests show they were Caucasoid Mediterranean Berbers. There are even statues in the Canaries of them!

Personally, I would love to see more Americans of ALL colours reclaim their Native American ancestry. Snoop Dog is a full 30% Native American, which is actually MORE than many folks who proudly lay claim to being predominantly so. My great-grandfather-who was a cowboy in the Southwest during the late 1800's-told my late father that in fact MOST of the cowboys had a sizeable amount of Native American blood in them, including the cowboys who were Black.
