Thanks for posting this. I have always felt that this is one of the most underrated achievements in the history of film, the perfect blend of acting, direction, cinematography, and music. And this is my favorite scene: the lighting, writing, acting, and use of silence is simply magnificent. The moments immediately following, when Pierre goes out to his troika simply drunk with happiness, now that he has finally professed his love for Natasha, is also profoundly moving.
