Like Alucard or Walter, They are both clearly insane but have a gentlemanly style to them as in Walter could be Carving up a vampire while insulting his style of dress one second and serving you tea with his outfit spatterd in blood the next. @mucciardi73 In truth I don't know how to explain the way it makes me feel, but the closest I would guess I could say it makes me feel like I'm in one of those old Jazz clubs, everyone dancing and having a good time, but they know that something else is out there, deep in the night that the things that you only dream about aren't only in your dreams, but they're real, that they're out there and yet even knowing that those people just keep on dancing and enjoying themselves, living life like any.

I think, To be honest, the english dubbed voice actors need a little more feeling when they read their lines, it kinda feels dull listoning to everyone sound like they aren't scared or mad or anything, and to be honest, the action needs to have a lot less slow mo scenes, I think it would be so much cooler if some of the fighting was a lot quicker, kinda like what they do in One Piece.
@MarcosParedes1991 Because it takes a very long time to produce dubbed versions. They have to translate the dialog into something that grammatically works, then actually record the dialog and then sync up all the character animations so that it actually looks like their speaking. Sometimes they go a step further and translate all of the visual japanese text too so that's also a time consumer.
@viziki Word on the street is that due to budget issues amongst other things the dubs being put on hold untill the OVAs are all finished.
Luckily for me I think subs way better than dubbed so i've already seen all 8 current OVAs and the 9th is almost finished in raw so not to long untill thats subbed ^_^

Well both OVA and OST are great, but Anderson is more badass in OVA in my opinion, though he did kinda make Alucard look like a bitch it OST a bit. They're both amazing

@hyakkmaru I prefer tv series. It's not like tv series is actually all that good. It's pretty mediocre, even a bit bad. But, it has some things it does really, really well. OVA is more stable in its quality, but this means its just mediocre.
Like, Alucard simply is more awesome in the TV series. Sort of unstable psychotic awesomeness, unstable quality of the TV series contributes to this. Compared to this Alucard, the one from OVA looks surprisingly bleak and boring.

Watch the TV series first (like I did, because it's all that was out on animated media at the time, and I hadn't been introduced to the manga yet) and you will yearn for more. The OVA will then suffice your appetite and then some. Watching the OVA first will probably make the TV series seem like watered down garbage in comparison.
@hyakkmaru i think the TV series has a cooler, "funky" feel. The OVA is extremely over the top with the gore and violence and zombie Nazis, just like the manga. The TV show is a lot simpler and has that awesome funky swing soundtrack. The English dub actors are almost identical too. Shoobie doo be doo shoobie doo XD
Can't stand the TV season the way it deviated so far from the manga story, but the music is incredible. Still one of my favorite soundtracks ever. I like the OVA sound track too but I think if the OVA had this sound track, it be too amazing for us to handle!

@slappymannn the TV series don't follow the manga but , by me are by far the best , specially if you watch them in english! The OVA's respect the manga but they are animated in that new-school look and I don't like the chibi scenes from them(it is Hellsing after all!)!
@RomaniaOverpowered Well the Chibi scenes are part of the authors original source, so they are tecnically what 'proper' hellsing is like. And i also prefer the new animation. It's more fluid, so makes for better fight scenes.

@oyeah310 TV series has 13 episodes while the OVAs has 7 much longer episodes which follow the manga's plot.

@oyeah310 The OVA's are also incomplete. The animation budget is ridiculous so it's spent some time getting passed around.

@oyeah310 The ovas will be ten episodes, 7 of which have been released in Japan and can be watched sub, only 4 of which are dubbed.

@hyakkmaru Unquestionably. Watch the TV series first (like I did, because it's all that was out on animated media at the time, and I hadn't been introduced to the manga yet) and you will yearn for more. The OVA will then suffice your appetite and then some. Watching the OVA first will probably make the TV series seem like watered down garbage in comparison.

@hyakkmaru i think the TV series has a cooler, "funky" feel. The OVA is extremely over the top with the gore and violence and zombie Nazis, just like the manga. The TV show is a lot simpler and has that awesome funky swing soundtrack. The English dub actors are almost identical too. Shoobie doo be doo shoobie doo XD

Can't stand the TV season the way it deviated so far from the manga story, but the music is incredible. Still one of my favorite soundtracks ever. I like the OVA sound track too but I think if the OVA had this sound track, it be too amazing for us to handle!

@hyakkmaru I would watch the TV series then save the OVAs for last, otherwise the TV series is not as good. The TV series doesnt follow the manga that much but the OVAs do.

@slappymannn not only that, but the TV series is WAY different from the OVA's, if you want the VERY basics of Hellsing watch the TV series, then watch the OVA for the full story if you like the series

@slappymannn the TV series don't follow the manga but , by me are by far the best , specially if you watch them in english! The OVA's respect the manga but they are animated in that new-school look and I don't like the chibi scenes from them(it is Hellsing after all!)!

@RomaniaOverpowered Well the Chibi scenes are part of the authors original source, so they are tecnically what 'proper' hellsing is like. And i also prefer the new animation. It's more fluid, so makes for better fight scenes.
