Yes it shows him being happy that Nagisa lives through the delivery of Ushio but it is in another world. As explained by Kotomi, there are parallel worlds that she is trying to figure out with others and when Nagisa dies and when she lives are two completely different worlds. So yes it was a happy ending in one world but what happened to the "Tomoya" in the world where Nagisa and Ushio die?

Kyaaaa!Totemo totemo kawaii xD. I love this song, it's sad indeed but I guess that's why it is so touching...Actually I started watching Clannad after I found out that this is Midorikawa Hikaru's favourite anime. He is my beloved seyiu, his voice gives me chills xD I think you can call this voice fetish... In Clannad he was Yoshino Yuusuke's seyiu. After being sceptic at the begining, with a few more eps I was totally overtaken by it. And now I've got Tomoya's seyiu voice fetish too ;)
