Got a question for you as far as the editing goes: How exactly did you remove the original bgm from the clips? Did you record from Ultimate Match or is there a way to disable sound in MAME/fbA?

Amazing, this is really good stuff. I've been playing KOF for years, yet I wasn't aware of many of the defensive tactics you mentioned in the video.

Okay the tutorial shows that throws can beat out option select because they are both faster than standing C and goes through blocks.

However this doesn't work anymore in KOF XII due to the new throw mechanics, so what other ways is there to beat a person that option selects into combo all the time? Especially if they are running up to you and doing that?

Sorry for the late response, the inbox thing doesn't show every comment for some reason.

On the case of KOFXII, empty hop throw isn't as relevant to the game for that reason. You can empty hop -> dp/super/guard attack but that's pretty silly. The short answer is, you just don't really use hop grab anymore in kof12.

As for running up, that's more of a spacing issue. Just use long range attacks to keep people out.
