He was doing press for the DLR Band cd and was asked why he called his band "The DLR Band" and not simply David Lee Roth. He replied well, "If you hear The DLR Band you think of a band. If you hear David Lee Roth you think of a person. It's like when you hear Eddie Van Halen you think of a person but when you hear Van Halen you think of David Lee Roth"!

He's not your stereotypical dumb rock star. I would not want to try and match wits with him.

He never got the respect he deserved but then he never took his fame serious either. He's extremely intelligent and articulate. He's the "Clown Prince of Rock" and always wore it as a badge of honor. @nissansentraglx Behind the drums is a cloth backdrop with the same type of speakers pictured on it to give it the effect of a ton of speakers. I remember thinking the same thing when I was 7 years old.
