This will run much better when they port it to the Wiz. They will probably even be able to make Mac OS 8 or 9 run on the Wiz! It has double the power of the PSP.

If you use the Key Caps utility in the Apple menu, you can type things on the onscreen keyboard, and then copy and paste text. That should hold you until virtual keyboard support is available.

the mac emulation is fast. if you look closely, it's the cursor that's fubar'd. The gp2x has no analog stick and the mouse speed is cranked up as high as it can.

the gp2x-F200 has a touch screen so hopefully that'll be a good mouse emulator once its rewritten.

Overall, nice work on this video. Good music too. Just wish the anti-aliasing in the down-sampling of the screen was better. All this jaggies, my god it's ugly. And what's with the right side of the screen being chopped off? Other than that, great work. Pretty cool.

Thanks. Although I wish the cursor would move faster. as you can see, that's what's made using it so very very slow. ...and the obvious reason is that there's no easy keyboard interface. Either way, if you don't have to navigate much and have to run a mac app on a palm size device, this is the way to go!

Not a PSP, because XP is to big and power hungry compared to anything else. try Linux.

Not a Xbox 360 (a Xbox original, Linux only, but it is very tricky) because Microsoft has it built so you can't install a second OS.

An Xbox 360 runs power pc processors I'm pretty sure. You're not going to be able to run Windows without some emulation, so XP would either be very slow or impossible.

the program, at least for OSX intel, is only 128 Kb, and you only need 10MB to install OS 7 and a lot of games.

The Mac hadn't really changed at that point. It was clicking onto it's 1984 and 1989 successes and didn't feel it really needed to change to keep up. And then came 1995, while Windows 95 had pre-emptive multitasking, OSx8 to 9 still had co-operative multitasking. To demonstrate this, on OS9 open up a word processor, and at the same time try and gain access to the desktop by doing something like drawing a select box, you can't. THis was eventually solved in 1999? by OSX.

It is also of note that during that period, Apple was under some pretty incompetant leadership. I mean, there's a reason why Steve Jobs came back. When he left Apple, they had 50% of the market.

Anyhoo, Apple bought Next Computer about a year after Windows 95 came out. It took years to incorporate most of Nextsteps features. That's why it took until 1999.

this made windows look good and easyer to use with at that time also it made windows look simple while here they had almost all black and white apart from some logos while windows 95 had full colour apart from the scary thing the blue screen of death.

This presentation isn't up to the reality of what System 7.5.3 was all about. for starters, It was able to handle colors and such.

Tho, it WAS made during the Dark Times, Before Steve Job's return.

The mac had full color. I don't understand how it made windows look good. I learned how to use system 7 in about 15 minutes whereas it took me well over 3 months to get used to windows 95. Besides that, this is an emulator and thus cannot display the true mac's full potential, which is obviously much higher.
