I've listened to the bands listed as your influences and, based on what Ive heard, stand by my original comment regarding dull homogeneity permeating today's popular music. But if you're interested and not already familiar with them, based on your tastes, you might enjoy: Andrew Bird, Elvis Perkins, Frankel, Cotton Jones and The Dutchess and the Duke. yes i am with familiar with andrew bird in fact i am going to see him in january at the sydney opera house. i don't remember what is listed on my page but would you consider sigur ros or kronos quartet homogeneous?
