  • Just one question: you're wildlife rehab efforts are admirable, but if you're releasng these squirrels back into the wild when they're old enough, why are you touching, holding, and playing with them? Shouldn't they learn to be afraid of us humans, for their and our sake?

  • @threeby8887 Good question. All babies (human and non-human)need nurturing for emotional development.

Once babies are fully weaned, they are put in pre-release cages with natural foods and environmental things (tree branches, dirt to bury nuts etc.) and very little human contact. They "wild up" real fast! Then they are "soft" released which means they are released where they can be supplementally fed while they learn "the ropes"

  • a baby squirrel trashes a kitten....and that's saying a lot

  • omg i so so so so so want to have a squirrel as a pet they are so cute i love them ... we have sooo many squirrels out side our apt

  • so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Squirrels Rule!

You give them names? how do you recognise which is which

  • Yes they do!!

Normally at the rehab center we didn't name the ones we raise and released (we both get too attached!) Sometimes we put little dots of non toxic paint on them to tell who was who. That helped to know who had and hadn't been fed:)

  • Oh my freakin GOD! If they were any more cuter I think my head would explode!!!

Living in Australia sucks, we don't have anything cool like that!

  • Thanks for your cute reply:)

Yes, I friends from Australia and they all love squirrels and wish they had them!

But you have some pretty cute animals too:)

  • is there no squirrels in australia ?

  • Nope no squirrels :(

We have possums and something called a 'squirrel glider' which is pretty much a flying possum lol but no actual squirrels. We don't have chipmunks or raccoons or skunks either. Nothing cool. Just kangaroos that try to drown people lol.

  • i found of yesterdai nd it has fleas ... its cute but fleas nd i dont lik dat ?? wut do i do?

  • sorry about the other babies but at least one was lucky to have been found by you:)

So happy he will be released. That is the happy/sad part, letting them go so they can be who they are after you have loved and cared for them :)

  • i am currently raising a baby just one though the rest got killed he will be released next week

  • looks like you have experience with squirrels..... can you house train them.... if so HOW!! lol

  • baby squirrels are the cudliest animals i've ever come in contact with. Mine cuddled with me all day. And he squeaks and tries to find me if i set him on the floor.

when he finds me, he runs up my leg and tries to snuggle into my arm.

  • Yep, There is nothng cuter than a baby squirrels:)

  • or tries to snuggle into into your tits!!... sorry took it a little far...

  • You are so cool! Those little guys are so cute. I've worked with animals for around nine years (in a veterinary hospital setting). I've fostered orphan kittens. I'd love to give wildlife rehab a shot...it must be so rewarding.

  • You should try it! See if there is a rehab center near or check with your local wildlife organization to see how to get a license. You would love it:)

  • i love squirrels and i know like every single thing about them they are so cute and i want one.

  • oh man how did u get those baby squirrels...I wont one so bad now!! Please let me know :)

  • I worked at a wildlife rehabilitation center where I raised and released many orphan squirrels. Check your area where you can help at a wildlife center!

Check out my latest video on squirrels...they are very cute as well:)

  • baby squirrels are the cuddliest and sweetest animals i know about... =D

  • Yep! Squirrels Rule!!

Thanks laurennxo1, for stopping by to view my videos!

  • EXACTLY how i talk to my babies.

squirrels are magnificent little boogers, arent they?

  • thats true. there is nothign cuter than a baby squirrel! they're my favorite animal, ya know...

  • When you pulled away your finger, he was like

    "oh noes! my finger! T_T"

    Love,

    PearlsOfJune

  • what r u feeding them from the needle?

  • No, I use little nipples I buy from "From Chris' Squirrels & More" Store!

  • Hunting and trappingscum consider em vermin and kill them, search on U Tube for lots of shocking material and flag it!

  • i want a squirrel soooooooooooooo bad!!! squirrels are amazing!!! i saw one yesterday and he/ she was like POSING for the camera it was so cool!!!

  • Thanks! Squirrels Rule!

You could volunteer at your local wildlife rehab place if you have one. Then you could raise and release them:)

  • i am not old enough, but thanks for the idea.

  • we found...2, no..I think 3 baby Squirrell's outside once in the middle of November...They did'nt have any fur and their eyes were still closed, And they were pink...My dad almost ran over the 3rd one but it Died...The two we had left were a boy annd a girl, The girl I got to take care of...I asked my mom where it was and she Told me it Died...The last one we gave to another person who Had been raising Squirrell's...

  • i got a baby squizz aswell, they r brilliant this will be my 4th one that ive hand-reared, its a fantastic job, i do all sorts of wildlife mainly birds. I rear mine using a animal bottle with milk in, its easier than a syringe or pipette. good job courdeleon, well done!

  • i soooo wish i could do that! i love animals especially squireels, and id do anything to just hold one. if i could raise a baby squirrel, itd be the best thing in my life!!!

  • You might be able to do that if you volunteer at a wildlife rehab center:)

  • Very adorable. I'm so jealous of anyone who gets to rescue, raise and release squirrels. You're doing great work! You should be proud.

  • Thank you very much.

    I have been truly blessed:)

  • GOD BLESS YOU!!!

  • thank you very much!

  • OMG So cute! I had a baby skwerl 2 summers ago that I raised until he was old enough to move out. They are such lovely babies. I hope I get another this summer.

  • SQUIRRELS RULES:)

Hope you get to raise and release more!

  • This is so awesome! I have a baby squirrel too! He fell from his nest :( but I'm taking care of him ^^

  • Good job! Check out the "Squirrel Board" on the Net.

    Great place for squirrel folks!

  • So cute... : )

  • I just love people that take the time to help wildlife! Keep it up and thanks for the darling videos!

  • Thanks much for your kind comments:)

  • "That was not a nut!"

This may be one of the CUTEST things I have ever seen! Thank you for all your compassionate work with wildlife!

  • Thanks for your kind comments, glad it made you smile!

  • you need an education. Yes squirrels do occationaly raid birds nest, that is what the wild is all about. Lions eat cute gazelles too! These squirrels were released not kept as pets. Orphans raised in captivity and kept as pets because of a disability rarely if ever turn on their caregivers &

NEVER cause death. If you can't say nice things go to sites you like!

  • You tell em Courdelon, As you implied, This person definately need's an education, At least when it come's to these little guy's, and gal's...

  • That was so cute! /5

  • Thanks, love your polar bear and Austin's song!

Your videos are so professional so I am complemented with your comment!

  • That's just to cute:D

  • yep, squirrels rule!:)

  • That was awesome. Make sure the other one gets a tickle too!

  • I always did:)

    Thanks!

  • omg there deffently isnt anything cuter!!! squirrels r P.I.M.P

  • CUTIE tht was a cute cutie laying on her/his back isnt fun to rub its lil belly ??

  • I thought kittens were cute, until I saw your video, BABY SQUIRRELS ARE SOOOOOO CUTE! 5stars! Thanks!

  • Wow. When he turns his head to the side, he looks like a mini-koala.

  • i'm raising a baby squirrel right now and i raised another one a long time ago. i feed it out of a bottle and of course it comes out of its nose sometimes. and it sneezes a lot. but when it sniffs around it sounds like its snorting or something...im worried. do u think its okay??

  • It depends how old it is. With a very young squirrel that can be dangerous. They can get milk in the lungs and die. But if you gently turn them upside down and dap the milk coming out their nose with a towel you can prevent this. If milk comes out their nose they are either drinking too fast or the hole in the nipple is too big. It can be very difficult. Good Luck!

  • shes about 6 weeks im guessing. ive read the age descriptions on websites. her eyes are open and ears r starting to open. yeah she drinks too fast...the hole in the nipple is very tiny so we have to put a little pressure on the bottle. so do u think it can be deadly w/ her age? :(

  • My guess is that if she has been doing this and is still alive she should be ok. Just try to not to squeeze the milk out too much and turn her upside down and dab her nose of the drainage of milk whenever it does come out her nose. Sure hopes she makes it. You might check to see if there is a wildlife rehabber near. There is a long process of weaning and teaching them survival skills in order to set her back into the wild.

  • Great video. Just love to baby squirrels. & yes a squirrels would die out in the extreme cold, Especially if it's neat got distroyed & it had no place available to stay warm. That's waht happened when they knocked a house down next door to me in the middle of winter.

  • Adorable!!

  • what a little cutie.

it seems that he/she is really thirsty and can´t get enough to drink.

but the end is the best, the babysquirrel looks so cute while laying on his back.

    5 stars.

  • thanks!......"Squirrels Rule!" ;)

  • Baby raccoons will burn your house down! They're evil incarnate! (I used to raise animals for rehab, too.)

  • red pandas are the best. like a racoon but all red and fuzzy WITH sharp claws.

  • I'd say baby raccoons are cuter.

  • aww!

  • Yes, a baby squirrel would.

  • do squirrels die if they are left out in the cold?

  • aww...

  • do all squirrels have rabies?

  • squirrels rarely carry rabies....another reason they are cute!

  • Just to let you know, she was released last year and I still see her occationally in the woods....doing just fine! What you don't understand is all babies need nurturing at first but then they are weaned of humans and do quite well in the wild. I have raised and released many with great success.

  • those squirrels are going to do great in the wild...not

  • That 1st one was going for some nuts.

  • I want a baby squirrel!!

  • Cute.

  • Love to see another squirrel fan!! Thanks!

  • It's true, there really isn't anything cuter.
