@Davidbasque15 well some boxer's with un-docked tails start chasing them and due to their large size they easily run into things, another reason is their tails are so thick, and wag so quickly when their excited that they easily knock things over. The only thing that's "for fun"(technically looks in my opinion) is clipping thier ears so that they point straight up, its usually done for show dogs and so that the dog looks a little more threatening to intruders, but in my opinion its unnecessary.
"psh my boxer has a docked tail and she still tries to catch it."←There is something called phantom limb, is where a human or an animal lost a part of their body but they can still feel is there, they can feel pain and it doesn't go away with medication. ".wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Phantom_limb" kinda why I dislike docked or cropped dogs, is painful for them. Maybe your dog still feel pains or still feel his tail.
You just have to know how to train them - they get bored easily and don't see the point of repeating things over and over. See some of Cherry's training videos - in particluar 'When she was good'!
@philipattomic I have a boxer 'x' collie rescue boy. He has the mind of a working collie and the cheekiness of the boxer - it means hell try something without being asked and figure things out far too quickly! Scary combination LOL
Haha I try to do this with my penis all the time =D

Why do some people cut boxer's tail? Is there any reason or it's just for fun?

All dogs chase their tales. You cannot watch them 24/7, but I accept your point that you should always do your best to keep an eye on them.

@vasago12341 - Boxers are in top 3 smartest breeds of dog.
- remember, - dolphins love clowning around & having fun, but are frighteningly intelligent.
