Hi WickEdThaTway, first of all: it's not my purpose to insult anyone. Mainly I wanted to start a discussion about artificial hormones showing what they are able to do and what not. Then I often have the impression that trans only see the nice sides of beeing female but wouldn't be about to live also the displeasing sides that I listed one by one. I would be pleased any trans could convince me that this impression is wrong.
@TheALDILady Well I cannot speak for everyone but I have been married, and have had hetero relations with women, including living with for about 20 years now. 99% of all friends I have had are girls. One girlfriend had menstrual problems so bad she cried the entire time. I know it is not all glamorous. And being trans is not about "hey, thats cool" is it how I FEEL! I wish that I could have it all! The bad included! No harm intended, I'm guessing no harm done.

That being said, I haven't started HRT, but I will say I would trade up in a New York minute to have been born a genetic female and not had to have gone through all that I've gone/go through with my gender struggles.

It was a crushing blow that has taken me year and a half to get through, and if/when I actually do start transition God only knows what other loss's I'll suffer. Cyproteronacetate (forbidden in the US) works like the pill and ALL other articificial hormones: they are inhibiting your libido and copying the state of pregnancy. While pregnancy women produce a SURPLUS of estrogene and progesterone which themselves desable 1.ovulation during pregnancy and 2.those two hormones that are additionally necessary for ovulation: LH and FSH. Cyproterone is the most powerful androgen inhibitor, and it causes castration, change of voice, loss of facial hair. It volumizes scalp hair, so your actual hair grow long and soft. The pill causes cancer if used routinely for more than three years, but it does wonders. Only downside, is the taste.
Estradiol, well that's estrogen, and it softens the skin, plumps your lips and grows the chest.

Thank you so much for the support! We found a doctor that -is- Transgendered and works in a hosspital as one of the presidents (or whatever they are called). She explained to my mom through an email I will most likely be going through therapy after the holidays. :)
@MrRikuTV I know of such a Dr. in Texas, Marcy Bowers (her name JUST popped into my head!). She's a pretty famous TS Dr. that IS a TS. Supposedly one of the best! Had circumstances been right for me, I would've done it, too. Not sure it'll ever happen, the way things are going. But, the thing with me is that it's not a life or death thing. I'd PREFER to change, but, I'm also okay the way I am.

Cyproterone is the most powerful androgen inhibitor, and it causes castration, change of voice, loss of facial hair. It volumizes scalp hair, so your actual hair grow long and soft. The pill causes cancer if used routinely for more than three years, but it does wonders. Only downside, is the taste.
Estradiol, well that's estrogen, and it softens the skin, plumps your lips and grows the chest.

Had circumstances been right for me, I would've done it, too. Not sure it'll ever happen, the way things are going. But, the thing with me is that it's not a life or death thing. I'd PREFER to change, but, I'm also okay the way I am.
