  • You can see people do bagua in the background.

  • this guy would destroy a MMA fighter

  • IMHO he has amazing root through most of this. 1:20-1:24 looks to me like he's lost it some but damn does he have it the rest of the time. Awesome. I love this video.

  • Remember I was here.Thai

  • you'd be suprised how well a man or women can do when mind&body are one and they aren't filling there bodies with poison and garbage that most of all american's eat everyday.

  • shame. i always thought chinese martial art was cool. im leaving disappointed

  • @MyPEN15GrantsWishes

you're right, he can't shoot laser beams through his hands, how uncool

  • very nice form! your movements are very fluid and melt into each other quite nicely. Also your air walk ( or spine walk) was very nice.

  • Cool style

  • airbender style lol

  • good ba gua good music good vid

  • The BEST BA GUA ! i love watching it !

  • WOW

  • 转大树 拉老牛 就是八卦的基本功练习法

  • Beautiful. Excellent. Impressive.

    Best Wishes,

    Paul Corrigan Sensei

    G4JNN

  • Master Chen is phenomenal. This video is the best of Bagua. Forgive me the other masters.

  • Did I say special I meant

    Super Bagua

  • just watched that, i agree with your previous statement

  • Yeah this bagua is good it's firm controled and fast. But I see bagua as a more fluent and soft form if you guys would like to see a one that I think is good you should go on youtube and type in this

    Special Bagua

It's perfomed by a women and I think it's the best one I've ever seen.

  • Ray is that you lol hahahahha. See ya monday dude im going to kick your ass in class lol , just kidding.

  • 68 aged old ? wow ... that's something . in fact that is why i m a fun of this one . ;)

  • thats a long set...

  • Wow! Great form, and great moves! I wasn't expecting someone aged 68 to move that well!

  • @AndyRaslan he's not 68...

  • havent seen this performed as good as this for ages....2.28 and onwards absolutly the best!

  • Beautiful and fluid. I absolutely love it <3

  • excellent body control!!! how quickly he is able to move and stop is most impressive!!!!

random observation: stupidly long train in the background!!!! typical china! haha

  • ok for one, this video isn't about the music.. or personal preference to music. this is one of the better videos i've seen of any Ba Gua Zhang or Tai Chi. the movement are kind of fast to be able to see anything internal, even if you aren't trying to see the internal.

  • What's with martial arts and crappy music? I don't get it, jet it seems to have tradition.

  • I so know what you mean! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

  • I love the music! lol

  • Shao Men's videos got fantastic music, are they with the video? if they're add on, can I see the song names?

  • wtf is up with SFJane? Looks like it's just a fat lady, I don't see any videos of her BGZ.

  • FOR ALL YOU computer armchair sifu's

Go and practise AND stop acting almighty until an mma fighter turns up and all of a sudden your not around to argue.

i am quite suprised you people think you can get an actual internal feel for something running on compressed bit rate.

Basics yeah? ok.. so all you si hings should know u have to master the external ASWELL as internal. ??

Here we see ba gua in such fantastic external form. you wanna SEE or FEEL internal?? Go push hands with him.

  • @Phocus3 mma fighters think they are all that. let me see a match up between a mma fighter and this guy.... this guy would destroy him

  • Great Performing , beautiful move , Look so powerful!!! but bytheway i hope to watching master doing this form slow with more Qi control than external move!!! ^_^

  • This is baguazhang he is too young to go slow and the real method yet. When I was young i practiced the bagua fast and not as connected as now that I am mature. So everyone is correct this young man is not to the point in life where he can have everything. Baguaquan is an idea that honors where we are in life. He is young he can't go medium speed and and just recently got the Qi to the hands and feet which is a first step. We have to wait until the right time to get everything. SFJane who teach?

  • thats great style

  • all the bullshit comments on this video and oral fellatio directed at the performer would be best put into perspective by actually learning and practicing ba gua from a good teacher for a few years, I will say this one more time, this man is flashy, energetic and athletic, but I fail to see internal connectivity here, why even waste your time prancing around waving your hands this way and that if you have no internal power? train basics first, then dance around and show off

  • jeez, those were supposed to be responses, but i guess not.

    great video! awesome form!

  • I was Kidding before, only出掌fa-gin(發勁)as he did; we will never know how fast that will be.

I'm so surprise about the power of his legs(下盤穩固). also, his shoulder's level amazing stable(Sorry about my English, I don't know the right words).

Hope I'm thirty years younger(at least). Than I can start to learn some thing like this.l

  • Did anyone finish watching his Ba Gua Zhang(palm). I really don't know about "nei gung"; but one thing I notes that when 3 mins pass, this Master teacher look like begaining time. He didn't showing any short of breath.

And I am guessing that the way he was walking around are yin-yong(sorry, don't know the right spelling of 陰,陽) TaiJi(Tai Chi)circle.

I hoope he can move a litlle slower, so I can see more clear. Jackie Chen and Jet Li both need to slow down for making movies.

  • Excellence.

  • I don't know anything about this art so I'll just ask if any one knows the name of this song and who it is by? Thanks for your time.

  • I don't get it, it looks like he is trying hard to move pretty and snappy and crisp and all that, but I see no nei gung here, no power at all, just twirling and fast stuff, pretty, but useful? wu shu circle walking this is, not an internal practice

  • Funny that you say that, because some people would say from watching your videos that you don't have the real internal practice either. But opinions are subjective like that. YMMV is the best thing used to rate martial arts.

  • some people, you mean IMA juniors like yourself mix? you are just some kid mix, your analytical skills are unsophisticated. you literally do not know what to look for in good nei jia, your opinions are worse than useless because you are full of all the things you think you know. come find out for yourself mix, you know how to get a hold of me. why speculate? look me up when you get to SF and remove all doubts for yourself. putting you in your place would please me to no end.

  • Any martial arts style can be practiced at different levels(stages or something like that)nei gung being one of them. ba gua is a combat form to ,esentialy(sorry for the spellings dunno how to write the word) all forms are. because this is the first way you will learn a form, later after a long time of praticing the form you can add nei gung.

so indeed you where right the way it was done here it was more like a wushu form. i dont know nothing about your internal chi gung skills

  • yet doing a form yust as it is and ba gua in particular is really hard, in a different way as when you would do it internal, but still very hard. you where right ,but both of you where where wrong for sever eacht others ability's and calling eachother names

  • Well, Jane, to paraphrase your own words to Mix, you know where the Wudang Temple is (it's on Wudang Mountain), go look up this obviously unskilled wushu practitioner and school him. Be sure to post a video of you putting him in his place!!!

  • What is IMA and SF?

  • haha! oh wow!

do you have any idea what you're talking about?

    seriously.

bagua is all about evading an opponent and attacking the weak points, not attacking head on with full strength. The application here is very effective and useful. Do some research before you assume or make false statements like that.

  • you are more than welcome to come do some ba gua with me in san francisco and find out forest root send me an email and we will set it up

  • i already have a teacher, but thanks though.

if you fail to see the internal connectivity of master chen shi-yu's form and wudang bagua, you are a very poor student. If you have watched his other videos, you'll see that he is more than capable of performing the basics, and has a vast understanding of internal arts.

i'm fearful of seeing what kind of bagua zhang you practice.

  • Oh I am a poor student alright forest. After ten years, I am still working on the basics. You would not like my ba gua at all. Since you don't understand internal cohesion and connectivity you would not learn anything from it. The real test for internal power is where the hands touch. Not from prancing around in a video solo but contact sparring. You need to feel it for yourself and come to your own conclusions. He's got a nice form done well but it's missing something namely power.

  • haha! oh wow.

i've done a lot of study in qi gong and taiji chuan, and internal alchemy. my teacher is a 6th degree master level teacher, who has been gracious enough to share even a small amount of his knowledge. Now, i don't claim to be an internal martial arts guru, and i am still on the outermost layers of these arts, and neither are you, but i've been around the block a few times. i would just take your ego down a notch, and step of your high horse.

  • also, if youre looking for power, you might want to look into something like xingyi chuan, instead. otherwise, learn to respect and enjoy the subtle grace of the internal arts.

  • very gud kung fu

  • Looks like modern Wushu to me. Do you think he knows how to fight?

  • It is very hard to tell by looking at internal stylists whether they have the real deal skills or not, but I have to say this does look a little bit "show" oriented, like Wushu instead of Kung Fu. I would not know for sure until I tried some push hands or San Shou with him, and then who knows? He might suck, he might hurt me... :)

  • yeah, this is bagua, there's a lot of turning and spinning and arms flashing about. the main point of bagua is to get around your opponent, so you can attack the back and sides. it may look really flashy and stuff, but the techniques are devastating and deadly. no doubt! haha! i've experienced the application of some of this stuff from my teacher! not fun

  • It is not a nice bagau mate! but i like the background
