my father was drafted into the army in the 60s, we dont talk about it much, but one day he told me what his job was. he was the guy telling people that they were going to Vietnam. he told me he had to tell his best friend on the base that he was called into duty. my father hasnt seen him since. he died there. anyone who thinks that they do a bad job, you only see 2% of the things that happen. the 98% goes unnoticed because it is what is expected. thank you criminal minds for guiding me here.

While I was in Kowait I heard this song for the first time. My wife sent it to me in a care package uploaded on a mp3 player. I sat there in my uniform with my M-4 on my chest in my bunk on the field operating base cryin like a bitch. But still to this day I haven't heard any song that can explain how it feels when you are stuck over seas better than this one. This song def hits home for me. I got back home on July 1st 2010.
