The Port that was in the SANFL after that, that won 2 SANFL flags was the "newer" version.
That was the SANFL's doing to divide Port and weaken it. It worked.
But Port is back, as one club as it always should have been.

Heres a bit of a history lesson for you..now pay attention you inbred hick.
The Port Adelaide Magpies FC LEFT the SANFL, and joined the AFL. They dropped the name Magpies and adopted Power, adding teal to their colours and a new jersey to avoid clashing with Collingwoods black and white.
The SANFL wanted a Port in the SANFL too, so a NEW Port Magpies team was created in 1997.
You can look up these FACTS for your self.

Financial difficulties have always been a fact of life at Port. 141 years later Port is still here.
It's a real club, not a franchise created on some flimsy excuse "a team for all south Australians".
You've had practically a decade more in the AFL. Yet you only have 1 extra flag to show for it.
Your club, over all, has been a failure.
GWS has a better probable future then the crows.
