I met Mary Chapin at a book signing with my niece Celina who was only 3 at the time and she is shy also! Mary Chapin took the time to make her feel comfortable and spoke to her for about 10 minutes. Mary Chapin also had my niece sit on her lap. I will treasure that moment forever! Chapin is VERY shy and I cannot believe she gets in front of thousands to perform! My niece still remembers this and she is now 19 yrs old! Thank You Mary Chapin for being who you are.

Cannot say enough how much I love this.. their friendship, humility,and respect for each other...not to mention Chapin has been my #1 favorite musician,lyricist,singer, artist..etc.. since the late 80's..and I have been listening to Merle since childhood...need I say more! :)

I almost sense that there may have been an affair of sorts between the girls. I notice it on the live performance of this song in the collum (at right) also. Colvin does sing about the break up an affair with a girlfreind in another song, "Summer Dress". Who knows, I just love the tenderness they bring to this song.
