  • my nickname is Gigi, hey ;D

  • I wish movies were made this good nowadays

  • WTF, this won 9 Oscars, must of been a shitty year

  • I love these old movies, the colors, the music, the emotion.... everything was much more intense back then

  • THIS IS NOT GIGI!!!!

    WE WANT MORE GIGI!!!

  • I thought it was a pretty good movie, but what was most impressive was just looking at Leslie Caron's beautiful face, not to mention her great spirit!

  • Leslie Caron was so beautiful and Louis Jourdan was gorgeous.

  • Obama is a socialist!

  • The full movie used to be on here :|

  • just looked up mii own name and there was a movie called gigi?! cool

  • "thank heavens for little girls..."

    ummm.... suuure... :D

  • wasn't gigi trained to be the mistress of a wealthy man in franceduring the gay nineties?

  • @Mrdianalynn Actually, in France, this era was called La Belle Epoch, and the women in Gigi's family were what was called 'courtesans'... like Nicole Kidman's character in the movie Moulin Rouge. They were usually popular stage performers who were 'taken care of' by wealthy patrons. Back then, unless one were born into a rich or aristocratic family, a woman had few opportunities open to her to achieve financial independence. This was one of the 'least degrading' ways to do that.

  • I'm auditioning for the part of Gigi soon!! cant wait! x

  • One of the finer musicals made into film! Stellar performances from all involved! A great cast & great songs. It doesn't get any better! How Lerner & Loewe wrote these masterpieces in such a short time still amazes me.Many thanks for these postings!

  • i use to watch this all time when i was lil with my grandpa

  • Isn't it weird that at the end of this trailer, when they are naming the lead actors, the TITLE CHARACTER'S name (Leslie Caron) is not mentioned once? Did I miss it or something?

  • @BohoHobo yes you did miss it, they mention her name first.

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE!

can anyone suggest some other films-kind of similar to this one or from the same time period that I can watch?

  • @chiccaboom: Kismet w/ Howard Keel, Seven Brides for Seven Brides, Meet Me in St Louis . . .

  • @chiccaboom Do you mean time period as in when the movie was set in, or when the movie was made? In answer to the first one, two fantastic musicals are "My Fair lady", and "Oliver" with Oliver Reed. Also, around the same time (but not set in the same time period), are "Oklahoma", "An American in Paris" (also with Leslie Caron), "Singin' in the Rain", "On The Town", "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers", "Carousel", and there are some earlier great musicals, like "Yankee Doodle Dandy" etc.

  • I wonder how many people confused "Gigi" with "Gigli"?

  • I mention Gigi in The History Song.

  • This movie is great! Love it!! Gasto is cute!

  • Leslie Caron is so cute! xx

  • Leslie Caron is absolutely lovely...

  • I love Louis Jourdan... singing the title song...

    So very romantic..........

    Thank you !

  • @astaire8 Partcularly the moment when he's charging ahead with the song and

    ""till that unexpected hour

    when they blossom....like a....flo-wer.....

{LONG pause, as the self evident truth finally sinks in )

    Oh no.....OH NO.......

The word enchanting is overused and not really applicable for most films. But this is a definite exception....
