Was never to big on some of their lyrics, set aside the issue of lyrics a bit. It's easy to poke at old bands. Nowadays, we've instant access, GNU digital audio / video mixing devices easy sampling & copy from the web. In the 60s & 70s, so-called sophisticated synthesizers mixers, dubbing devices were reserved for wealthy producers top & 40 bands. I'm leery about where & for whom I do positive posts. Skeptically I watched White Witch grow, they had good sound, talent, and a lot of imagination.
Wow buddy, You have no idea how wrong you are. Way to perpetuate an outdated stereotype conceived by ignorant people almost 100 years ago. Medical studies show that partaking in the use of cannabis has no detrimental health effects and, in fact, is actually proven to be a useful medicine for cancer patients who say that none of the hundreds of pills that "Doctors" push on them work as well as pot. Ever read one of those side effect warnings? Pot doesn't come with one of those.
Oh and by the way I've been smoking pot since I was 14, dropped out of school when i was 16 and still recieved my high school diploma ahead of my graduating class, scoring in at least the 95 percentile in every subject on the test. So I'm pretty sure that *ahem* "Pot makes you stupid ADURPADURRRRRRRR!" is not a valid argument. why don't you go grow a sack, then find a sack(of weed) and do a little research you ignorant hillbilly bumpkin.
i used to enjoy their performances ( one hell of a stage show ) in the warner robins civic center when they toured. these guys were really ahead of their time and i know they were "held back " to some extent by the small town southern managers and law enforcement.one show they could do this song the next time they couldn't the last show i attended the law enforcement presence was so intense we were scared to indulge, so i said fuck it and never went back. @dru72499 They weren't ahead of their time as there were several other similar bands that came before (Queen and Alice Cooper come to mind) but they were very good and deserved more success.
@tbcass oh these guys were not in the same league as cooper and other international acts but their stage show was still better than many of the "headline " bands ive walked out on sometimes only a few songs into a set. but hell who knows i may have been influenced by my " mood " at the time , if you know what i mean, i still give these guys a 9.9 for their props and special effects
I saw them twice back in the 70s in Dothan, AL and they were awesome. The first time they were an opener for Argent. White Witch captivated everyone and after a two hour stage changeover, Argent came out and opened with "Hold Your head Up." After that, about 80-90% of the audience got up and left. The next time White Witch was the sould group performing.
You should have been in Valdosta where they opened for Lobo. Talk about a disaster!! "Lo-blow" played two songs - the second one "Me and You and a Dog That Blew" :) - then grabbed their little amps and got the hell off the stage before they were beat to hell by the audience. WW came back on and played the rest of the two sets that Low Blow missed. Then I went to their bus and we got totally wasted.
I was very lucky to know Ron Goedert later in his life and when we meet at his apartment we smoked out and he broke out this record...WOW it is SO nice to be stoned!...cosmic peace back @ U Ronny....Sven out
saw this band @ the old treasure land amuse. park across from Busch gardens in Tampa about 74, they blew us away! i took a girl named Gail Rosentit [who wore a rose pinned onto her breast!]they played in support of a politician named "Patrick Henry?] whom was running for office.....
This group was in concert at the coliseum in Live Oak, Fla. many years ago. After the show, they all came to my house where we stayed up really late eating in the kitchen. Haven't thought of these guys in so long, I used to have this album. :)
I've heard it live, played by WW many times. Buddy Richardson, the guitarist, was a friend of mine. I smoked with the band one night after a concert. They were such a great band!

Say do you have "Home Grown Girls" by White Witch which is found on their S/T LP? I asked another user who posted songs from that album but he hasn't responded yet. I had to go to Rhapsody to hear that song & it's a rocker.
