I had heard of this performance at the conference but had never seen it! EXCELLENT!! I laughed all the way through! Thank you Vonda for being willing to be used by God to reach and encourage others!
Went to an Emmaus weekend and they did a similar skit. I have to say, yours was far more entertaining - I think it was your creative props. : ) Thanks for the chance to laugh - I loved it!

Wow, Vonda! This is the most awesome illustration of God's unconditional love I have ever witnessed. Truly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Candy Abbott
What a funny and welcoming sense you provide to your viewing audience. I'm really glad you have such an awesome talent from our precious LORD, and that you are able to use it to increase God's kingdom and for His glory. Great job Vonda!! You've always been a dearly treasured friend. God bless you. Stephanie Bragg
Great job, that was very entertaining, this has got to be one of my favorite books of the bible, and how true that today's culture would be dumbfounded and find the language used quite foreign.
Vonda, This was my introduction to you... And I was distressed as it seemed to me that you were making fun of God's word. I truly hope I was wrong. BLH
I'm sorry you feel this vignette makes fun of God's Word because I take His Word very seriously. But let's face it, the words of Solomon are funny in today's culture. Jesus himself created humorous pictures in the listener's minds of that culture. A camel going through the eye of a needle? A man walking around w/a log in his eye? How funny! Jesus used humor to get His point across. S of S is for the reader to imagine as the two lovers describe each other. In today's culture the words are funny!
Hi Everybody! Thank you for your kind words. Solomon's Beloved is so much fun to share! She's actually a little vignette from one of my women's ministry speaking programs. I hope you'll also check out my new women's book, Seeing Through the Lies: Unmasking the Myths Women Believe. It's been called "a hilarious journey through all things female as we search for truth in a counterfeit world." We laugh a lot in the book, too, but then we look at the serious truth about lies.
Vonda, I think this is a 'tad' more animated than your presentations at the writer's conference :) Great practical application. I will be sending this to my Wednesday night Bible Study gals! bless you
That was incredible and our whole family enjoyed your study of beauty in general, and Solomon's Beloved specifically. Thanks so much for a great lesson and great humor.
This was really really funny!!! But so true. We value beauty so differently than King David did. I wonder how he'd describe our "beauties" of today. hmmm
You made me laugh and I know you made God smile! Keep on using your talent to show others the way to Christ...whether through laughter or tears! Keep on keepin' on, my sister!
I didn't think it was making fun of God's Word, Vonda! I thought it was hilarious!!

Hilarious! How fun! What would add to this is at the end, an allegorical understanding of what these things symbolized.
