Poker aint about results but rather correct decisions. Cada made poor decisions time and time again at final table, period. If he claims he played well than it goes to show how bad a player can be and still win WSOP main event. Tough to give good argument to parliament after these kind of showing

Even if Cada didn't get lucky he still made the final table - I don't think it was ALL luck before the final table, he had to gamble on the short stack but his second all in with 22 after winning a big pot is questionable though.

Maybye next time he should keep folding his pocket pairs when he is short stacked a dwindle out. He didn't get that lucky throughout the tournament , he actually folded some big hands !

@captaindigi82 I'm not impressed. I would've liked to see him all the way his playing and how he got there. The only person capable of winning was phil ivey and he got sucked out. Cada has so many tells I can get a read off of him while watching youtube vid and put him on a weak/strong hand. Phil Ivey read him one time and bluffed his ass. This kid got lucky. Eastgate got gifted his win (ppl bluffing him when he has sets). Cada = Luck.

That's why Joe Cada is the worse champion in history. He never played poker, he just played the all-in game..

Yes there's luck in poker, but I've never seen a Main Event champion suck out so much. He was outplayed at least a dozen times and never got punished for it.

I even rate Moon higher than Cada because at least his mistakes at the final table didn't threaten his tournament life.

All in all, Cada made poker look like a donkey game and that's very bad publicity for the game.

I agree. I dont want to sound like a hater cause I dont believe it Joe Cada's fault. Everytime i watch these world series being won by people like Cada it makes me less and less interested in poker. This does nothing but hurt the poker game. The good news is people will start realising that you have to be a lucky retard to win and stop playing. The bad news is there wont be as much money to be won anymore. I give poker 5 more years before its goes back to where it was. Not as popular.

because many of these online players who think they know the game only know how to play in shallow stacked situations where your only decisions are allin or fold and that isnt saying much because that brand of poker is easy, with very very few exceptions thats generally all a solid top online player has going for them and is why there are very few successful online players who i have much respect for.

i would say cada was the worst player at this table, but the game has luck in it.

Call me old fashioned, but to me a great champion doesn't suck out for his tournament life.

It's as simple as that.

A great player can make a mistake or two and lose a hand, but NEVER when his tournament life is in jeopardy.

We've had average players win the big one, like Robert Varkonyi or Jerry Yang, but they rarely sucked out. They just got all the cards. The're a difference.

@Phranswa Both luck and skill are a part of poker. I heard from the world poker tour that short term it's 90% luck and 10% skill - long term however is 10% luck and 90% skill. But to win the main event I don't think skill alone or luck alone gets you there, you need a lot of both to win and each year somebody wins.
