  • I sat on one of those at a dealer ship and it fit me perfect. Only problem was the price tag :(

  • Great bike, are you still riding it? Oh, remember the strap on your helmet though ;) It's easy to forget, until you get used to doing it up.

  • What everyone does when they start their bikes....rev it to show off.....don't rev it, warm it up first...

  • i spy some nosy neighbors lol

  • I am 5'4" and 140 pounds, i really want this bike because from what i've read about the 250's brakes, they aren't too reliable. Provided i drove safely and paid good attention to the road, would this be a good bike for me

  • @sieve5 Same here, I'm 5'6 and 136 pounds and I wanted to know the same thing, I hear the 650 is sometimes better to start on in case you are in some situation where you need to accelerate or stop quickly, but first I suggest taking the MSF course.

  • @sieve5 I started with a 250 but outgrew it in about 4 mths. I wanted something faster with more acceleration to pass any dumb drivers that don't know how to drive when a motorcycle is around. The bike is also controllable, though the 250 is more so controllable and lighter weight. I'm 5'2 and had to get it lowered, which doesn't make much of a difference to me since I never intend on taking corners like I'm on a race track.

  • Awsome! I wish my parents would let me have one of these. They always say im gonna end up killing myself....but anyway, glad you're ok after the accident! And yes PLZ REMIND EVERYONE ABOUT SAFETY GEAR! I KNOW ITS OLD BUT PEOPLE YOU GOTTA WEAR IT!

  • Should've got it in green. Kawasaki is supposed to be green! Thats just a little pet peeve of mine ... respray it GREEN please. Upload another video once you've done it so I can check.

  • @gwl1983 I agree with your pet peeve.

  • "KICKSTAND" Dont worry the bike would of stalled if he'd put it in gear with it down :)

  • He makes me very nervous watching him - he has no confidence as a rider and is an accident waiting to happen (again)... never looks to the right when he exits driveway, rips on the throttle when he starts it up (it is fuel injected dude - no need to do that)... doesn't strap his helmet... oh brother... looks like you just started to ride yesterday and are more worried about what everyone thinks - do I look cool. I can see the nervousness and unsureness in your eyes.

  • @psusme1 thats because it is his first ride dumbass.

  • What part os south FL this ? You have some nosy neighbors.lol

  • Lol! loved when he says "Kick Stand"! ;)

But glad that you are ok after your accident! Drive safe! :)

  • Glad you're okay from the accident.

  • how do you like this bike? My bro is planning to get one. If you were to buy another bike in the same league, would you buy the same?

    Thanks in advance!

  • @Mikemaladar- i bought a 650r with zero experience and learned on it. I'm very glad it was my first bike. IMO, you're first bike should have an easily managable power range but also have enough power and speed to fuel a growing passion for riding

  • ...and remember to fasten those helmet straps instead of letting them dangle.

  • this or sv? i sat on both and both are comfortable in different ways due to their seating position. But does the sv feel less comfortable when you ride it on the road? (because i was thinking sitting isn't the same as riding...)

  • My 650r should be up to me in 3 weeks... so excited!

  • @T0H0E0G0A0M0E You sir are absolutely right, the power difference is substantial, the best beginner bike is the 250, if anyone has anything negative to say you can bet they are twiddlefucks.

  • Awe man thats totally fucked up. Hate to hear that.

  • Comment removed

  • Sick jacket what brand is it ?

  • What part of Florida is this ? ......Nice bike BTW. Sorry to hear you wrecked it and hurt yourself. Drive safe, yl

  • If your a begginner i suggest taking a motorcycle saftey course. Really i think its completely foolish to step on a motorcycle if you have no idea what your doing. It helps with confidense and rider knowledge even if its a little cheesy. Especially with all the ppl riding without licenses these days there are so many accidents. I saw a bike on the side of the road driving on I-95 north cops were looking for the driver. Even if you dont have much experience as long as you know what your doing yo

  • Sounds like a 250.

  • @305Alpha it does, my brothers ninja (idk wat cc, but larger than this) screams when he revs, not making that ugly whirring sound

  • I like how the cop rolls by @ 1:20 lol PIGGGSSSSS

  • how tall are you? i am thinking of getting one of these and heard good things about it accomadating taller people

  • I fully Recommend the 2011 ninja 650r as a starter bike for anyone I have personal experience as I bought one as my first motorcycle to ever ride an own let me say I am completely happy to own it I have some videos of it riding and a quick review I've had this bike for 1 and a half months and I love it! It's the perfect rounded bike to start and continue to learn on

  • i love florida!!!

  • He's so happy at the end. Love it.

  • sounds like 250 >.>

  • 650 !!! ^^

  • i just learned today on my dads new suzuki intruder 800cc, it was pretty easy

  • not even gonna let it warm up? interesting.

  • Worst Camera man ever!!!!

  • Is this 250? Or 650?

  • Everybody is be completely misleading. Unless you are planning on riding with people that are complete ass holes. A Ninja 250 or 650 will be great starter bikes. I have a Suzuki Dr200 as my first bike to ride on the road and if I had anything heavier I for sure would have dropped it just trying to accelerate from a stop. Hell, I almost dropped my little 200cc while first starting off! I know people that have been riding for 35 years and choose small bore bikes over large bores all the time!

  • I just got one and im brand new. Its a great bike but make sure you tap the throttle cuz its fast! Once u get used to riding this bike is a fucking blast. I hear people say to get the 250 but youll outgrow it fast. Just dont be responsible with the throttle and youll do just fine. I havent had to do more then tap it to keep up with traffic but give it a little more and itll throw u back hard. Have fun and stay safe!

  • if that was my bike, i wouldn't spend time recording it on my first ride, i would get on the damn thing :)

  • Fiero GT sighting!

  • @Thunderous71, You love my comment? Good I'm glad. Yes, I do own a motorcycle. Actually own two, a 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa and just purchased a 2011 Kawasaki ZX10. I was going to trade the Suzuki for the Kawasaki, but really like the comfort of the Suzuki. Okay, to be honest, without the sarcasm...the Ninja 650 is a decent inexpensive reliable sportbike that returns great fuel mileage. There! I said it! Damn it! I wouldn't be interested in one. A bit underpowered for my taste. I'm spoiled!

  • Depend on what you have learned on, its always going to be a debate on getting a big bike as your first bike.

I started on this bike (er-6f in europe same bike though) and am loving it, but I did do 6 days of 7 hours of traing and 3 tests to get my licence. All that done on a 125 for 2 days then a 500 on the remaining. All I will say is this bike is a very good starter bike, its forgiving but still powerful. But with any bike mistreat it or the road and you will get hurt. ATGATT!

  • @T0H0E0G0A0M0E So glad I saw this comment. I havem't been able to decide whether to get a 250 or 650 as my first bike - I have ZERO experience with them. Guess I'll get the 250. What do you mean by dropping it? the 650 is heavier?

  • @Mikemaladar 250 is not a bike.. it's a moped.. u'll get tired of it in 2 weeks..

  • @shaklob yeah been talking to some ppl and they say to go for the 650 and save myself the embarrassment... I'm just worried I won't be able to handle it, but we'll see

  • @Mikemaladar

so for a guy with zero experience, the best is 250 or 650?? i dont wanna get hurt (well nobody does..) and have fun and lurn the basics wich one's the best?

  • @TheAmineamar Well, I AM a guy with zero experience, but yes everything I'm told is that the 250 & 650 are great starter bikes. I am personally going to get the 650

  • @TheAmineamar you should look into the 650 man its awesome check out mine on my page i love the bike so much and you wont get bored

  • @shaklob

    i bought a gs500f a month ago...got tired of it in 3 weeks. i sold it and bought a cbr f4i

  • @shaklob It's a bike douchebag, got something small your compensating for?

  • @RevNathanD32 yeah my tiny penis... how could u guess ;) r u an expert of small dicks ?

  • @shaklob

The way your talking, you sound like your mother is a baboon and your father is a donkey.

  • @shaklob

And because I feel sorry for you, your channel is hella shitty and your BMW is a pile of shit.

  • @RevNathanD32 the bmw on my channel is a friends car who asked me to film it n put on youtube I drive newer audi myself a car u'll perhaps never have afford with and what's wrong with the way I talk.. look at urself dude u'r like 31 and behave like 14.. plz keep ur coments for urself from now on.. nobody cares.

  • Comment removed

  • @RevNathanD321. well mr idiot if u read my comment twice or in ur case maybe 10 more times u'll see that I ment 250.. never said anything bad about 650 so.. I like 650.. I WILL buy a 650r till next summer.. NEVER said I need to have 1000cc.. as I said put ur glasses on..

    2. U r a moron..

  • @shaklob Big deal, I said 650 and I meant 250. You seem to think this changes something. Your still a douche bag. Your not getting out of it that easily. Work on your grammar, it's getting difficult to understand what your trying to write.

  • were you sitting on a washing machine?

  • I wonder if the Natural gas motorcycle will come out. Clean burning.

  • Might help if yur helmet was done up LOL

  • This is the perfect bike for somebody with Down Syndrome and is just learning to ride. Not enough power to hurt himself, and basically when 5,000 miles is on the odometer you just throw it away and buy another one. Pretty much junk, or perfect for the american man.

  • @Tophairybutt What makes you think this bike is Junk, I have hit 10000 on mine and not one thing has gone wrong with it. Its a good, comfortable, sporty bike. Just as easy as a 500r but much more bottom end and still user friendly. Its not a super sport, but it still pulls ahead of 95% of cars on the road. Parallel Twin, Fuel injected, roughly 65HP. Excellent starting bike for bigger riders, does well as a commuter or light sport tourer.

  • @Tophairybutt LOL love the comment, but seriously it just shows you don't ride bikes or even own one.

  • well the 650 is my first bike if your just starting be smart about it , ive learned on this bike and its great for a starter as long as your not trying to show off it does have alot of power i can accelarate alot faster up to about 60-70mph compared to my cousins 07 ZZR600 he can beat me up past that but thats where he makes his power

  • Its a 650 you can tell by the placement of the rear spring and the banana seat.

  • more concerned with revving it. doesn't seem too safe

  • ooooooo your soooooooo cool(sarcasm)

  • this is 250 not 650....:|

  • @beldy89 2008 kawi 650r looked just like the current 250r.

  • @beldy89 lol ur so wrong its laughable

  • did anyone else see that cop at 1:18?

  • @kyle1206 cop spidey senses are tingling..

  • that sucks you tottaled it.. i did the same exact thing on mine.. but i got knocked out.. i didnt really get hurt other than that.. i was lucky. those fuckers flyyyy.. people dont respect bikers enough.. and the countys need to send sweepers down the highway... its very risky taking curvs on these

  • V TWIN?

  • @archinuk417 Nah its a Parallel twin

  • glad your ok, but seriously I think everyone should start off road on like an xr100 or something before hitting the streets, he looked scared just riding it around the block. ( not making fun of you) The fact that anyone can take a writen permit test and go ride out on the hwy is a scary thought. Anyone can crash but some are more likly then others...

  • @rooster828 The laws in the US are that while holding a permit you can not have a passenger, not ride on a two lane highway, or ride at night.

  • @grandori2 well aware of this

  • @grandori2 You obviously mean 4-lane highways, as in 2 lanes for each direction.

The laws vary by state as the Fed. leaves licensing to the states. In Ohio, 4-lane highways are legit, but interstates are not regardless of the number of lanes. Night-time hours are also legally defined in the revised code as 12-6am and mirroring the restrictions placed on < 18 year old drivers.

  • @rooster828 nowadays in most states you have to take the motorcycle safety course, which has 2 days out on a track on 100's or 150's.... which is still a big difference from this bike but at least they get SOME experience.

  • @VnRiZFrEsH in MN you just take a writen test to get your permit then your off, to get your license you go around some cones and do a quick stop and your done.

  • this thing sounds like a 250, but it looks like a 650...the zx6r(636) doesnt come in red but the 650 does....BUT. the 650 has a 650 decal on top of the blinkers...if this bike is "fresh from the store" and " just got off the trailer" where is the decal.

long story short. this is a 250.

  • @Xtremedriver24 doesnt look like a 250?

  • @grantsterv it actually does lol... i was gonna pick up a 250 as a stunt bike but decided not too.

  • @Xtremedriver24

250 doesn't really have the power for a wheelie. Also, the bike in the vid is a 650. I can tell by just looking at the plastics and frame.

  • @Xtremedriver24 lol'd. you have no idea what you are even trying to talk about.

  • just like to state that the kawasaki 650s dont come in red at all. so unless it's a custom paint job, that's a ninja250

  • what jacket is that, thats not leather is it?

  • man that still sounds like a 250 to me.i think im just gonna get a cbr 600

  • its called a two brothers exhaust

  • is the riding position similar to the 250?

  • This bike is cool but the engine isn't as cool

sounding as that yamaha fz6r. That bike is

    absolutely amazing! lol

  • esa no es una kawasaki ninja 650 esa es una 250

this moto is not a kawasaki 650 ,it is a 250

  • Didn't even warm it up first.

Learn how a bike works before you ride it.

  • @mezzadakiller Maybe he rode it 15 minutes earlier before remembering to video tape, mr jump to conclusions

  • @jameshoffa730 lol...good point!

  • sliced ur chest open? fuck man now i dont want to ride im too scared lol

  • Man i hate the sound of that bike. It sounds like a scooter lol.

  • @shaqdaddy11 thats a paralel twin for ya they sound shit and have no charecter.

  • Eh the lime green one looks better,

  • about time someone knows how to match their gear with their bike lol

  • O shit PoPo at 1:18 in the background!

  • nice bike btw

  • The 250R is a good starter bike

  • very cool bike! I got the same, posted a vid of it and an onboard camera vid, check it out:)

  • How did you like your 650?

  • nice man I also bought a kawasaki Ninja 650r, just posted a vid as well, check it out if you got time:)

  • dude you helmet wasn't done up!!

  • "Kickstand" Epic LOL

  • Looks like a nice neighbourhood you live in.

  • haha nosey neighbors

  • @LazyScoutJace: There is nosy neighbors everywhere man, i've moved a dozen times to different citys, towns and neiborhoods and just like a job, there is at least one asshole and if not a couple nosy ones, and lets not forget the cherry on top ones: Paranoid neighbors that act like you just moved in yesterday, even though several years have passed by and you've already introduced yourself, yet they're still suspicious of you for some odd ass reason!...

  • @besman007 lol ur right

  • @armystrongamerican yeah a good starter bike... its a comfortable bike, only a 650r , compared to the hayabusa and the zx-14 or hell even the zx-6 , the 250r would be for someone who has never had experience, but for someone who has had experience in maybe dirtbikes and can handle the power of a bigger bike than a 250r then yes the 650r would be the next best starter bike.

  • @armystrongamerican he's not going big or going home, this is a good starter bike and he just had a wreck, some things you cant avoid, it happens... why you so worried about it? its his bike , his money, and he probably had insurance so could have gotten it fixed... or alteast got some money for it...

  • you must be really nervous about your first ride...you were trembling.

  • You've got some nosey assed neighbors in the back ground, that's what shotguns are for.

  • @SunsetSupermanRMB hehehe like it!!!

  • dude your jacket is kick ass! what kind is it??

  • why does this sound like a 250? stock exhaust?

  • @emporio8404 its a twin. with stock exhaust.

  • @emporio8404

    Yea it stock.

I got the 2 brothers on it and the sound is just amazing,

I got a video up on my channel with the sound of the slip on exhaust but the video is nothing compared to what it sounds in real life.

  • 06-08 i make a undertail section for this bike that gits rid of the DOT light tree in the back it has a built in tag brackett will leave a smooth finsh to the back of the bike with nothing hanging down I can shoot you some pix if you want let me know at expresscraftlisa@yahoo.com or call Tom 321-514-2780 people we make them for just love them.....

  • @armystrongamerican I'm pretty sure he didn't slam into a guard rail on purpose

  • Nice vid man...good 2 see you riding with gear!!!

  • Good thing you slowed down man, looks like a cop at 1:18 behind you. And btw very nice bike. Im wanting one so bad. Mommy says not while i live with her. haha Take it easy, and enjoy your new bike. Ephasis on the NEW Mr.tonjes61. lol :)

  • im thinking of makin a streetfighter out of this any1 know anysite w/propper streetfighter headlight?

  • it's just like the home video tape of your first riding on the tricycle.. with pads n all

  • oh sucks it got totaled!

  • I have that same fieldsheer mach whatever jacket in blue.... oh yea and a vtwin 650, sv

  • thought it was pink at first lol

  • im looking to get one too !! nice ride

  • how come the supersport 599cc zx-6r sounds much better than this 650 cc?

  • All the neighbours came out side to look, now theyre thinking fuck me this kids gonna be revving this thing all day long

WHY ME WHY ME THEY SCREAM INSIDE THERE HEAD!

  • did not know they had red

  • Can't wait to finally take out my F4 for it's first ride it's been a bitch to insure but congrats from the future lol.

  • i hate they way it sounds

  • @armystrongamerican Because im sure he purposly wrecked it......

  • So sorry you got hurt. I've been riding 30+ years with no accident approaching yours. I did start on a 90cc trail bike on a farm. You've got to get used to the feel of broken traction to avoid some bad things from happening. If you haven't given up bikes, my hat's off to you and I hope better riding ahead. Blessings.

  • is insurance high on these and are they good for beginners?

  • was that your first bike?

  • kawasaki ninja ZX6-r 599cc is faster than a 650r 649cc? yes or no? and Why?

  • @DOPOPI yes-- inline 4 cylinders for the zx6, parallel twin for the 650, and the engines are tuned for different purposes-- zx6 is a race bike replica/track bike, whereas the intended use for the 650 is commuter/sport tourer.

  • is that red or hot pink? either way its hot as hell.

  • Nice bike! I applaud you for taking it slow as a beginner. It's been almost 2 years now since you bought the bike - are you still riding it or did you move to another platform?

  • gia ton poutso mhxanh!! sugxrono ninja me pshlo timoni??ieroshlia k hlh8ia idea..as tou dinane allo onoma

  • why don't you turn on the bike as you back up? Let it warm up a little more?

I put my gloves & helmet on... usually long enough for the rpms to drop from 1600 to 1200. but w\e. It's just a suggestion

  • lol @ they guy walking his little dogs

  • Hey I was wondering when I'm older I want a Kawasaki Ninja too. Is it hard to ride a bike like that? Was it hard your first time u rode a bike like that?

  • Its a really smooth bike to ride in my opinion I have the 09 and I love it but for any bike your gana get make sure you get frame/swingarm sliders cause your gana drop that bike like it or not. Also you should get a two bros exhaust mine grunts like a beast lol.

  • @MrExotic108 it's hard if you never have rode a bike before...

  • It might be ok, Im 5 10 and have no problem touching the ground, your best bet is to go to a dealer and just sit on one

  • It was an accident, and not intentional.

  • how much was the insurance on it?

  • Not a lot, actually. It really depends on where you live, how old you are, and a bunch of other factors.

  • I pay 207 a year but keep in mind it's under my dad's name who is 46 with a good driving record

  • 207 dollars?! how come you pay that much and i pay almost 2500 a year for a car?!

  • My car insurance is 2500 a year but idk, its just the way it is, and my car is still under my parents name as well, that and I don't have comprehensive and shit on the bike, only liability

  • Also this bike isn't classified as sport, and from my understanding, as long as the numbers (such as 650) dont have an "R" after them (such as the CBR 600R), then the bike isn't classified as a sport bike

  • And the title is wrong its not a 650R, It a 650 EX

  • I assume that your not in the US. In the US its the 650r but in Europe (i think) its the 650 EX or something. So its really not wrong, it all depends on where your from.

  • Nope I'm in the U.S., but your right the website does say is is an R for the new model, I have a 2007 and the manuel says that it is EX

  • Its a sport, Just not a SuperSport.
