Jawaballs, have you ever had problems playing your forgeworld chaplain dreadnought as a regular BA dreadnought on a tournament?.. im thinking of buying one to use it as an death company dread, but im not shure if im gonna be able to use it on tounaments and its kinda expensive :P, any suggestions would help :)

@nihilmxl Nope, all tournaments will allow you to play forgeworld models to represent your army. Especially if they are essentially the same!  THe FW chap dread is just a cool looking dread, but no different from the rest of em.

Go to a games workshop store look online for locations...Id be careful though start up is hella expensive ($170 for me) Although the game is sick.

@aapch1 it really depends on what army you wan't to use. theres good starter kits you can buy at stores or online. It costs a lot. But do what pwnz1ng said.

@aapch1 Most people start with space marines, but later on you regret it since it's the most common army. Also, you can order painted figures and armies online on ebay. Just type in the army you chose and painted, for example : Painted chaos space marine army.

really depends on how many armies, and what type u got. and of course what style u like.

Marines good for almost any purpose (depending on how you play them + your build); Guard are mostly very shooty, but can field (potentially) ALOT of infantry and very nice tanks

check out your local gaming store and get a starter box of the game you'd wish to play. ask the store workers about events for that game. The workers may beable to help you pick some stuff out to.

It's not suprising he got beating by Necrons because they get back up. Also, never kill a Monolith, they aren't much of a threat.

I didnt lose to the necrons, I tied them because our game went too long and we couldnt play turn 5. I would have phased him out for sure turn 5. As far as killing the monoliths, they are absolutely a threat. They have a lot of fire power and tear up space marines because they have that template shot that is ap 2 and wounds on 2's. In order for my infantry to not be blasted off the board I had to knock it out. It survived a charge of 7 attacks from my Furioso due to my poor rolling.

Well there were 2 monoliths so I guess you can be forgiven. Did u manage to taken them out? I find meltas and Power fists can work wonders against those things.

EEK you split ur forces when facing nids??? U do not do that. Keep ur forces together so ur units can support one another and blow the crap out of them and stay away from the left and right table edges. That Building in the middle could have been heavily fortified with what forces u had.

I crushed the nids and tied the necrons. The Necron game ended on turn 4 cause we were out of time, the necron player was taking his time, stalling, answering phone calls etc. Had the game gone turn 5 I would have phased him out. I ran the nids off the table. The genestealers flank marched in waves, but I beat them back and won the game.

Nice work....It was kinda hard to tell what the end result was with this video because to hear you say it sounded like you lost both battles...lol. I guess you being being modest and understating ur victories.

How did you take out those 'stealers? There was a lot of them so it would not have been an easy task to make meat of them, especially since it looked like that got to charge before you fired off a shot.

Half of them flanked onto the wrong side...right into the fireing lane of my Baal. They did not stand a chance. The other half came in waves. They would wipe out one of my squads, but then get counter charged by Dante and my vets using Furious Charge and Preferred Enemy. It was basicly a wash between his stealers and my assaulters with Dante and my Death Company tipping the scale to my favor.

Since its an ork army, and its usually horde-ish, bring in Heavy Bolters, since they can take around 3 shots. Just shoot 'em up from a distance (since they suck at shooting, XD) and then close in for the kill. Watch out if they flank you, though, especially those damn copters and kommandos... -.-
