Hamachi is dumb! If you use crappy software on Windows, at least use Wippien, which is at least in great parts Free Software, i.e. liberated.

Wippien is Free Software, you get most of the source code and have the right to change it to your will or have it be changed by somebody who knows programming.

Wippien uses Jabber Instant Messaging protocol, which is a really elegant design decision I think. It supports voice chat to your peers and it has no limitations in software, like limited number of networks or network hosts.

I see no advantage of Hamachi though.

Free as in free beer, yes. But not free as in liberty / freedom.

You don't get the source code of Hamachi and you are not allowed to alter it and redistribute it in your own flavour. And it has limitations in number of network nodes, a limitation artificially imposed by the software.

And no, I don't know what "tooken down probbily" is. Is it chinese? If it means it took down you network connection it's pribbubly cause you have misconfigured it in an insane bad way.

If Hamachi is completely free now they changed it. AFAIK it has limitation concerning the number of clients (16 max) and the source code is not available.
