  • Thanks so much for a great tutorial. I knew how to create circular text, but didn't know how to reverse it on the bottom. Other tutorials I watched didn't help. One simple point that you gave saved me hours of what could have been total frustration!!! Thanks again for your generosity in sharing your vast knowledge!

  • For all the people with Adobe Illustrator CS5 (tested with windows), when you want the secound text under the curved line... he uses a cool text option we don't have. To do the same as him, mark the text, then go to "type" in the main bar on the top of the page. Chose "type on a path" and chose ""type on a path options". A popup windows will appear, chose the dropdown menu. Align to path - then chose Ascender. Hope it helps...

  • @davidjschloss I am not sure why they (if they actually dropped it, not just me failing) dropåed the function. It was one of my favorite functions in AI 3:)

  • Hey Art, great tuto. How do i use what you taught on your video to create a speedometer and tachometer so that i can put the numbers correctly on speed and tachometer in a circular and correctly way? as opposed to just typing and having the numbers not line up correctly.

  • i tried this on windows but when i try to make those circels i press alt+click, i don't get the pop up you get, what am i doing wrong?

  • @rollinsixfo just press alt and then click with the mouse.

    how do you bring out your circle tool?

    mine only have the rectangle tool and i cant change it to circle tool

    what should i do??

    i'm right clicking on it but nothing happens

    i'm using illustrator cs3 portable

  • @stefshan12 try clicking on your rectangle tool and holding it. All your other shape options will come out
