Thanks so much for a great tutorial. I knew how to create circular text, but didn't know how to reverse it on the bottom. Other tutorials I watched didn't help. One simple point that you gave saved me hours of what could have been total frustration!!! Thanks again for your generosity in sharing your vast knowledge!
I guess I'm a little slow. I've watched this like 3 times and things move so quickly I have no idea what's going on. Maybe I need Illustrator vids for dummies.
For all the people with Adobe Illustrator CS5 (tested with windows), when you want the secound text under the curved line... he uses a cool text option we don't have. To do the same as him, mark the text, then go to "type" in the main bar on the top of the page. Chose "type on a path" and chose ""type on a path options". A popup windows will appear, chose the dropdown menu. Align to path - then chose Ascender. Hope it helps...
@davidjschloss I am not sure why they (if they actually dropped it, not just me failing) dropåed the function. It was one of my favorite functions in AI 3:)
Hey Art, great tuto. How do i use what you taught on your video to create a speedometer and tachometer so that i can put the numbers correctly on speed and tachometer in a circular and correctly way? as opposed to just typing and having the numbers not line up correctly.
Thanks for the vid, its been helpful. But im having trouble splitting the inner path in half in CS5. Seems i cannot find a Scissor tool and i dont know how to use the "slice" tool instead.
Thank you. My tears of frustration have dried and a smile lights my face. Your tutorial is so clear and instructional - and I didn't even have the sound on!
@ois88 - G'Day. Sorry but I do not have CS2 on my computer to be able to make a comment. Do I take it that all the steps I showed in CS3 are not accessible in CS2?
@AErin3890 Thank you so much that you liked and appreciated my video on curving type on a circle. There are many ways to curve type around a circle but this way I have found to be the quickest and most accurate. Let me know if there is any other topics you would like to know more about. Thank you once again AErin3890. You have greatly encouraged me :) Regards, Marty
@ArtworkExplainedAPPA you're welcome, I'm subscribing incase I need help in the future! I neede to make a badge just like this one for a school project and I couldn't figure out how to get the text to not be upside-down! :)
