  • It"s always good with ukulele... confirmed !

  • Love her voice..

  • I think I may be one of Mailani's biggest fans

  • beautiful!!

  • Beautiful Singer -Great Song!!!

  • right on! Big fan of Mailani and Dr. Trey :).

  • I had no idea this was a Mele ma‘i. Wow. And who is not recording a solo project anymore? Cause Mailani is in studio now and this song is on the album.

  • These guy's dont muck around....... All Great Musicians and Professionals. I too love it when MaiLani sings Hawaiian, and whilst it was hard learning to sing it correctly and still is, ' It Sounds So Natural, So well.... Nahe Nahe ! I was saddened to hear ( In a Recent Beachwalk Pod Cast that that she doesn't plan to sing or record Solo anymore

    Peter

    Australia.

  • @WindyHill1953 - Peter - not nahenahe at all, in my opinion. It really is a mele ma`i for Kalakaua, last verse is usually "O Halala i ka nuku manu", which frequently is a name given to Kalakaua's ma`i. Supposed to be lively, rhythmic.

    Me ke aloha,

    Wanda

  • Wow, it's up already!? Boy, that was fast!!! Glad to see the end result of the video after reading about it on Twitter!!! LOL =)

  • Wonderful to hear a young lady singing traditional Hawaiian music, yet updating it so maybe other young folk will pay attention.. Shawn Ishimoto -- now there is a musician!
