  • i'm 21 now, but when i was about 12 or 13 i remember having this crappy radio that barely got any reception. i was surfing through stations and out of nowhere i hear this song. it was pretty eye opening. glad you uploaded this.

  • great quality audio

  • saw this performed in philly on this tour and have been praying every show since and up to last nights 360 tour to see it again ,oh well no dice but life isn't over yet and in Gods time!!! thanks u2 the only universal name that does'nt need translated!!

  • I always loved this song, something very special, I use to listen to this song over and over, funny

  • one of my "All" time favorites, I recorded this song in my phone a year ago....it's still there...

  • A friend of mine went to a funeral in Colorado a few years ago for a mutual friend. This song was played at the conclusion of the service.

I'm telling you right now, you never ever hear this song again in the same context when you listen to it with the ears of a person in mourning.

"I'll see you again when the stars fall from the sky and the moon is up over one tree hill."

talk about getting hit in a soft place...shine on.

  • amazing

  • don't join a fight on this...it is purely a brilliant song!!

  • Long long time ago........

  • yes, but still an awesome song and Bono is incredible...

  • My favorite song of all time.

My favorite band of all time.

  • theres a lot of sad and single people giving their views, get real and stop living in the past happy xmas.

  • what the hell does age have to do with anything i hate when people say that shit go rag on somthing else leave the best band in the world alone incase you forgot all the good u2 did for diffrent countries helping a lot of people and the poor

  • Adam just turned 49 this month (it's March)....man, it's hard to think 20 years have FLOWN by!

I remember Adam singing backup here too at this show. Wow.

  • I was at this concert! Yepp, Boston, 1987. Phil Janoau came out with his camera crew to film the crowd before the show...this gave us "Rattle and Hum".

  • Wow. I used to FEEL this song. Forgot I could...this brought it all back.

  • I love it when people say shit like this because after thirty years they still make a album that goes to #1 in 28 countries and sell out stadiums filling 90,000 people. I guess if your over 40 your a middle aged fucker who clings to the past, talks about how he once got hot pussy and now just jerks off and cries in his beer.

  • Nice. Or just maybe I'm a girl with different taste in music than you.

  • Well, at least we know the proper way to spell "you're" in an attempt to look semi-intelligent before we start ripping on other people. I wasn't too keen on the R&H album, to be honest.

  • @keithm940 But this song is not from R&H????

  • It was from the Joshua Tree cd. Of course, R&H might have a live version. I'm just too lazy to go look back at look at my cds.

  • im 40 and im not set in my ways, your fucked, fuck, i have a lot of thigs to say to you but its not worth the effort, espically about music, dont get stuck in the past

  • Man, why do people get so angry and hostile if they disagree with someone?

  • I've seen Larry sing before, but I think this is the first time I've ever seen Adam sing background vocals!

  • This song never dates and is an absolute masterpiece. Thank you U2 for the good times. Jonnie Bob says hello

  • Agree,pure art

  • Boston 1987!! Loved this show and this song was awesome...WOW though does it bring back memories

  • I've seen them 27 times and I've still never seen them play this song live. So thank you.

  • I saw this concert! Phil Janou was shooting it for Rattle and Hum. Man, where did the time go?

  • This song is the most underrated U@ song ever...and In God's Country a close second. These songs are U2

  • used to cry with this song.

  • GOD I love this band.

    Fan since I was 11 (1981).
