i'm 21 now, but when i was about 12 or 13 i remember having this crappy radio that barely got any reception. i was surfing through stations and out of nowhere i hear this song. it was pretty eye opening. glad you uploaded this.
saw this performed in philly on this tour and have been praying every show since and up to last nights 360 tour to see it again ,oh well no dice but life isn't over yet and in Gods time!!! thanks u2 the only universal name that does'nt need translated!!
what the hell does age have to do with anything i hate when people say that shit go rag on somthing else leave the best band in the world alone incase you forgot all the good u2 did for diffrent countries helping a lot of people and the poor
I was at this concert! Yepp, Boston, 1987. Phil Janoau came out with his camera crew to film the crowd before the show...this gave us "Rattle and Hum".
I love it when people say shit like this because after thirty years they still make a album that goes to #1 in 28 countries and sell out stadiums filling 90,000 people. I guess if your over 40 your a middle aged fucker who clings to the past, talks about how he once got hot pussy and now just jerks off and cries in his beer.
Well, at least we know the proper way to spell "you're" in an attempt to look semi-intelligent before we start ripping on other people. I wasn't too keen on the R&H album, to be honest.
im 40 and im not set in my ways, your fucked, fuck, i have a lot of thigs to say to you but its not worth the effort, espically about music, dont get stuck in the past

A friend of mine went to a funeral in Colorado a few years ago for a mutual friend. This song was played at the conclusion of the service.
I'm telling you right now, you never ever hear this song again in the same context when you listen to it with the ears of a person in mourning.
"I'll see you again when the stars fall from the sky and the moon is up over one tree hill."
talk about getting hit in a soft place...shine on.

I have to agree with you there. Everything post Rattle and Hum is disappointing. I think you have to be over 40 to get it.

@keithm940 But this song is not from R&H????
cookamidgera 2 years ago
It was from the Joshua Tree cd. Of course, R&H might have a live version. I'm just too lazy to go look back at look at my cds.

Man, why do people get so angry and hostile if they disagree with someone?

I've seen Larry sing before, but I think this is the first time I've ever seen Adam sing background vocals!
