It is an American site, founded and hosted here (UK optimization didn't start till 2007). The majority of the Engl. speaking users/posters are still American, and so it makes sense we would entitle clips by the names common here. Same name -- so we need differentiation. It saves us time to skip the (US)/(UK) thing for our own local version. I presume you do the same there. Cheers.
