Thanks for showing the GPS value with a standard 7.2V pack. We'd like to upgrade to the Velineon but still use our old packs for now. 30mph sounds pretty good to me.
Hell naw, vxl need 7 cell and up if you want max power. My xl5 is pulling harder than this thing on 8.4... I never ran it on 7.2.. But I just moved to 8cell 9.6...
@TheHuntingTerminator The amount of cells does not change the performance of an RC car, but the mAh (Milli-amps) do. This video has a 4200 mAh battery. I run 5000s on the same truck, plenty of power (just right for me). The amount of cells simply ups the voltage, giving you a longer run-time, but if you have high mAh, you are going to drain your voltage in a shorter amount of time. I recommend 7-cell 5000 mAh NiMH batteries for 1/10 brushless trucks.
@RallyKid27 yes it does, the amount of cells affects the voltage since each cell is 1.2v. and the voltage is what gives it power, the mah can affect the performance a little because of higher quality cells, but it mainly just affects the run times.
Ive found that the most affecrive way to boost performance is gearing i have 3000 mah batteries and te truck will do 50-60 with 28/86 gearing
