I have no idea why people tend to believe the idiots at Gamestop who are well known for always being wrong with gaming information. Keep in mind people, they're not hired based on their "Gamer knowledge," they're hired just to help you find the game that you want and for you to pay them at the register...that's it. If they gave you a month of when this game comes out, don't believe it. All we know is that it'll be a 2012 release, some sources say Q1 2012, but don't count on that.

Here's the thing, how can they give you the release date of a game if NINTENDO hasn't said anything about it yet? They did the same with Paper Mario on 3DS, "Coming out on December 31st, 2011." Something I found rather odd considering that 1., the release date is slated for 2012 and 2., there isn't even a name for it yet!

@marioliugi14 Plus, just because you live in Arkansas doesn't mean anything...the release dates are usually given by continents or regions. If there is a North American release date, that is the release date for EVERY state in the United States, EVERY region in Canada, and EVERY region in Mexico. You need to stop believing the people at Gamestop, they don't know anything more than you do. Until Nintendo themselves confirms it, don't believe a damn thing people tell you.

Someone in another comment said it comes out January 4th in Arkansas, and most sites I have looked at say January or February. Some even say 12/31/11! I think the most accurate release date would be in January. It could be tomorrow!

I felt it might be a sign of some sort, such as the game being out; or, if not, that the ghosts were mocking me for putting my hope in today for the game's release. Or, I could have gone with the boring explanation I gave someone else between classes: It's cold out and the indoor heat was turned on, using more power than usual.

Also, there were commercials on TV for Super Mario 3D Land and MarioKart 7 when they were being released. And I think a game as big as Luigi's Mansion 2 would have a TV commercial around the release date. I wonder if it will combine real people with game elements like the 2 others I mentioned above?

im was saying that this looked stupid compared to the original but then i downloaded the gamplay preveiw and took back everything i said except the new theme. im glad you dont need to charge your flashlight anymore it looked annoying,also hope there is a hidden mansion mode so just like the original it will make lugis mansion creepy again.also what if the original mansion is a bonus mansion where a ghost called van ghoul reaper would make the original ghost and the new ghost that would be cool.
