@Cordoba2610 "All Hell Breaks Loose" it's the last episode of season 3. Season 4 starts with Charmed Again, so you're just left with the cliff hanger of "All Hell Breaks Loose", then in Charmed Again you see them dealing with the aftermath.
what i love about this episode is that way they combined comedic moments with more serious/emotional moments. i felt so bad for piper, not only did she have to deal with the fact that her older sister had died she also had to deal with the fact that she was now the oldest sister and had a new half sister all at the same time. they can't be an easy thing to deal with.
Piper had just gotten her blowing up power, phoebe isn't the strongest witch, and paige just realized she was a charmed one. So the charmed are still very vulnerable As Prue was pretty much good at everything she did. That's why Phoebe is so scared, and Piper so mad.
I wonder if Holly Marie Combs had lost a sibling or some really close to her during this time. The emotions expressed during the "crying" scene were magnificient and life-like. She most certaintly deserved an Emmy!
@Kiickzfeen In one of the Commentary of the dvd, Holly said that she acted these episodes effortlessly because to her she really did lose Shannen and missed her; both of them were and still are best friends, before and after Charmed too, so Holly really missed Shannen
This episode is just brilliant .. Everything about it .. So unexpected in every way .. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, it makes you love charmed even more .. I personally think this is one of the best episodes .. in this episode everything changes and the change is very real and very well written .. Love them all -3
Also when Paige was talking when her parents died and she hated them 4 It leaving her alone like that and when she said "its ok 2 hate prue"...Paige has a point I had a grandmother I barely knew died when I was 11 I remember some things with her but not a lot but I will always remember she is the only person who got me hooked on Resse's Peanut Butter cups LOL!!!
I cried so hard at the Piper scene with Prue's tomb, I cried so hard I guess because I miss Prue as much as Piper does, I loved Prue. She was always there for her sisters. she was a beautiful person, an incredible witch and an amazing sister. I miss her.

The scene where Piper made me tear up inside. It's been a long while since I've watched this episode, and I'm just getting back into the series. There are emotions that are stirred up more easily nowadayds than when I first saw them years ago as a teen nearly obsessed with this show.
i miss prue alot,she was my favorite charmed one the most powerful of them all,i cried alot when she died:(...i feel so bad for piper aslo bec.i think they were much closer to each other than phoebe and she had a hard time coping with the loose:(

@TarAncalyme No one but Paige could have understood & confronted Piper...Leo and Phoebe thought Piper was mad at them, & Cole was focused on trying to make sure Phoebe didn't get hurt. Meanwhile, Phoebe and Leo were still grieving their loss.
Paige had the advantage of being outside of the situation, while having had a similar experience, & also having moved on (to a large degree) from that loss. Sometimes an "outsider" can see things better than family, & she wasn't a smartass about it at all.
I absolutly love this episode .. I always tear up and i absolutly love piper .. And i also love it when she says "after everything weve gone throu, pain seems like an invitation for more pain ."
Holly Maire Combs definitely does not get the recognition she deserves.I watched over that seen of her by Prues grave (or plaque i guess) practically 10 times and still gets me. She is amazing
i love this episode. i love how paige helps piper deal with her supressed emotions and how piper calls herself paige's sister at the end. she's finally moved on and that's a big step in any loss. i wish when charmed aired theses episodes i was old enough to watch it and let alone understand it. i bet it would have been great.

How I remember a charmed episode when Prue was mad at the Angel of Death for her mom being dead. Death said "You mourn and then you go on." Looks like Piper learned that lesson without the Angel of Death
To me it never felt the same without prue i felt paige is there to replace prue and it seems to me she dosen't even care about learning the right things i say prue come backs prue always did the right thing and held the sisters together

@Mish1119 Because she wasn't full Fury yet (Having not made her first kill) I think her human emotions were still holding her down, and the sudden fear and grief at seeing Prue's coffin probably knocked her and made her forget what she was...
one thing i loved about holly is how well she always portrayed her characters pain or sorrow like the scene in all hell breaks lose when she died in the hospital with prue there
i can relate to how piper was feeling at 3:34 - 4:09 because when i lost two of my best friends who i really cared about as if they were my brothers .
At 8:12, Paige says, "It's my first war wound. I think I'll wear it with pride." I thought they couldn't let people know that they were witches! How would she explain those scratches, without telling that she was a witch??
That makes sense. Of course, it still leaves open the question of what she would tell anybody else who asked her about the scratches....but, then again, I'm thinking WAY too much!! After all, it's just a TV show!! :)
the orb that paige does in the first few seasons is really good you could tell it apart from the whitelighers but then later on they kinda messed it up and it was the same orb as leo's
Paige's orb in these seasons goes in then out and disappear but in later seasons it just went up and the orbs were much bigger
exactly, thats what made her a half witch half whitelighter her orbs were different from whitelighters (random orbs) and when they put it all together it messed it up

She is still new to all of this and never once explained to about the significance of her heritage.
If anything I believe she truly is a Halliwell. She's really self sacrificing to the point of quitting her job, boyfriends, and even not having a life outside of magic for the sake of others.
Now isn't helping the needing and being self sacrificing what being a Halliwell is all about.
Paige will never be a Halliwell.She is allways putting boyfriends,friends,job and basicaly anything over her sisters yet she thinks she has all the rights to the book and the magic of their family.Somehow,the power of three was never reconstituted after Prue died.

What I love is at the end, when Paige's boss says to Piper, "And you are?" And Piper says, "I'm HER SISTER." And the look on his face...it's like he's thinking, "Oops!" And then Paige sits there thinking something like, "Wow. She called me HER SISTER!"

Okay, here's a question I thought of -
At 8:12, Paige says, "It's my first war wound. I think I'll wear it with pride." I thought they couldn't let people know that they were witches! How would she explain those scratches, without telling that she was a witch??

That makes sense. Of course, it still leaves open the question of what she would tell anybody else who asked her about the scratches....but, then again, I'm thinking WAY too much!! After all, it's just a TV show!! :)

the orb that paige does in the first few seasons is really good you could tell it apart from the whitelighers but then later on they kinda messed it up and it was the same orb as leo's
Paige's orb in these seasons goes in then out and disappear but in later seasons it just went up and the orbs were much bigger
so they kinda messed up the orb thingy

I would hardly call that a mistake. Besides, Leo's orbs go up (or down if he goes to the underworld) whereas Paige's orbs are random.

exactly, thats what made her a half witch half whitelighter her orbs were different from whitelighters (random orbs) and when they put it all together it messed it up

She is still new to all of this and never once explained to about the significance of her heritage.
If anything I believe she truly is a Halliwell. She's really self sacrificing to the point of quitting her job, boyfriends, and even not having a life outside of magic for the sake of others.
Now isn't helping the needing and being self sacrificing what being a Halliwell is all about.

Paige will never be a Halliwell.She is allways putting boyfriends,friends,job and basicaly anything over her sisters yet she thinks she has all the rights to the book and the magic of their family.Somehow,the power of three was never reconstituted after Prue died.

Only reason its second is becuz the characters die alot,just to be brought back to life,if that didnt happen so often,it would have been #1.

i dont like paige,she was needed for the story,but becuse of her not liking cole,he is gone,i like the eppisode when phoebe is pregers with coles baby,and the baby keeps attacking her,and the phoebe says the baby did it.

@XxSuzana95xX yes,but he tried not to be and most of all of them she never gave him a chance,or faith,to move on,heck even pru gave him a chance,paige didnt mind when she needed him to save her,or use him to farther her causes,but support him never,she evan turned the others more agnist him evan when he was trying.

What I love is at the end, when Paige's boss says to Piper, "And you are?" And Piper says, "I'm HER SISTER." And the look on his face...it's like he's thinking, "Oops!" And then Paige sits there thinking something like, "Wow. She called me HER SISTER!"
