Well, it certainly could use a facelift (it's looked essentially the same since the early 80's), but at least they're not totally axing the Corvette.

As badly as GM has been hurting lately, I thought that was what the rumor was.

I'd like to see them go back to a Stingray or Stingray 2 type design (like the car they think might be a new Corvette in those Transformers 2 spyshots), or maybe something reminiscent of the 1958-62 double headlight car.

The crappyness of the mini aside, the problem with diesel cars in the US is the moronic hippies that assume diesel means huge black clouds of exhaust like from a tractor trailer(which is still acceptable with that truck is pulling a 56 foot trailer full of cargo).

If 10% of the consumer automobiles on the road used diesel fuel, you'd see the price drop. Not to mention, you generally get better mileage as well anyway. Morons have just given it a negative stigma here in the US.

How does that related to diesel vs regular unleaded? Unleaded is expensive because 99% of the customers who buy it are commercial businesses. If it were businesses using regular 87 octane and consumers using diesel the pricing would be the other way around. You should go do some research so it'll at least sound like you know what you're talking about, because economics and commodities obviously aren't your strong points.
