i dig this one too... :) thank you! i love london and have seen the changes over the years, sadly, not always for the better... however, i am a londoner through and through, this short film reminded me how much i love the dear old place. love and peace.
The thing that amazes me about the Kinks is that they cranked out over 32 years of incredible high-energy heartfelt output. They were fantastic up to the very last day they played in 1996. Their albums in the 1990's (and prior) most definitely did NOT suck - they were fantastic.
hey..great job for this great song and video.......i lived in palm springs when this came out..91' .....i have been looking for it for ages.....thank you!
This is a fantastic song way up there with the 6o's classics, mind you RD matures with age & I'm forever rediscovering songs from the 70's, 80's, 90's that I now like and rate as my favourit songs
Good! I found that song, being a Kink fan ever, only two years ago.. My "Phobia" CD didn't have it! It was also in an EP but it´s a lost gem indeed. Thanks.
OMG! I've been waiting so long for someone to post this song! I had it on a CD single when it came out years ago but I lost it. I also enjoyed the video of street scenes.
This is fabulous!! A blast from the past. I lived in Cheltenham Terrace just off the King's Road in the 60s, so much has changed, but a few things remain! The Chelsea Potter my old local pub! Chelsea Town Hall where Ossie Clark whom I worked for had many fashion shows. The Pheasantry used to be an amazing club now sadly a Pizza Express!!! Wonderful memories of a unique time in history! Thanks so much for posting, great video!!!
Still unmistakeably Kings road, but with the soul ripped out...The Chelsea Potter remains intact, even the loos haven't changed !!! Miss the old Barracks, Picasso cafe gone,ta for sharing your memories. it used to be the place...
well done!

Once trendies posed for tourist pictures in the summer time
Not content with taking polaroids they purchased all the property that they could find ... and I've just sold mine
great lyrics
