  • OMG!!! I forgot how fit some of those girls were....When they were on I was younger than them........but, they got me liking the older women. Wouldn't remember who they were called but God they were fit!!!!!. Many of the actors went on to act in eastenders and also Holby. Others i'm sure but cann't remember...lol. Was Laura Saddler (Judy Jefferies) in there? RIP

  • ive got series 1-11 on dvd of grange hill

anyone got series 12 and above that wants to trade or sell get in touch

    cheers

ps . im looking for both series of JONNY BRIGS too

  • excellent video!! i can certainly remember most of the early years people as i started secondary school in 1978, after about 1983 i lost interest and started watching tuckers luck.

  • briliant mix. whoever did this i sallute you

  • i noticed michelle gayle in there who later went on to star as hatty in eastenders and had a brief singing career

  • lol im going as a grange student to a 1970's party tonight :P

  • WMG you bunch of fucking pussies

  • Bullet Baxter what a great teacher no messing with him,had a games teacher like him at school in the late 70s early 80s he was feared but also respected we called him KILLER KILLSHAW we need teachers like this today then there would be respect

  • HAHAHA me too, had a teacher like that in middle school 84-88 he was called Mr Aldred "We all dread Aldred" they don't make em like that anymore.

  • used to fancy lee mcdonald aka zammo when i was 15, im 22 now

  • loved Grange Hill, miss it now crap on tv yea i agree should be more teachers like there was in grange hill

  • i´m spanish and i love this TV series

    nice video ;)

  • i think everyone has watched grange hill. it will be sad to see it go. it was educational for me. taught me a lot about life. kids nowadays spend too much time on their ipods, playstaions, computers etc than to appreciate good tv. theres a lot more disposable income and kids are being spoilt. not only that many kids are drinking at a young age.

  • i watched every episode over the 30 years and loved it, i will miss it there are similarities to when i was at school, i will never forget it, my favorite pupils are tucker, michael doyle, justin bennett, my fav teachers were mr keating,mr llewelyn, mr mitchel and bullet baxter long live the memories of GRANGE HILL.

  • the bbc and britain was once a driving force -producing some of the best tv in history.

just look at britain and tv today....pure meltdown.

they need more like bullet baxter in schools today. todays schools have gone soft

  • and i got to out out with her :) she is such a lovely person, lee.

  • your character had a major impact on a lot of people,so many memories of watching grange hill watching this.i always had a bit of a thing about gripper even though he was a evil so-and-so!

  • i also had a thing for gripper lol good to know i wasnt the only one :P

  • Melissa Wilks.. oh what a babe!

  • i miss it terribly....like many (from the days of Tucker until fairly recently) I grew up with the characters (& i'm 38 I have my kids watching until recently, so...). Trust the dunderheads at the beeb to end it. Bloody hell, even Corrie and Emmerdale is dtill going for gods sake!

  • ...was that adolf hitler at 2.15?

  • It might as well be but it is Mr Bronson aka actor Michael Sheard

  • ...I know...but he DID ACTUALLY PLAY THE FUHRER in induiana jones 3

  • Best Kids: Imelda Davis and Trev Cleaver definately.

Best Teach: goes without saying it was Bullet Baxter and Mr. Bronson!

  • i wana see a reunion of all the people ever to be in it.

  • could somone tell me if the "Jason Swift" character is in this slide, and of so, where????

    Thanks!!

  • its a sin the the bbc have axed this show.

  • great vid! thanx for the upload! nice 1!

grange hill kicked ass! but after 1992 it sucked!

  • Excellent show.

  • Excellent slide show. I watched it through the early 80's when I was at school. Do you know Zammo actor Lee MacDonald is on You Tube, you can send him a message. His username is leemac2121.

Does anyone remember the teachers name with the beard at 2:10 on this video?

  • Aah, The Great Michael Cronin Who Played Mr (Bullet) Baxter. He Also appeared in Faulty Towers

  • bullet baxter, classic tv name. had one just like him at my school.

  • dunno wot time it was but sounds like mr.baxter

  • Aaahhhh the memories... How many of those girls did I have a crush on when I was younger!?!?! lol

Great video, keep up the good work.

  • They should have scrapped Grange Hill in the mid to late 90s. The last decade of the show was awful. They over ran it for far to long.

  • Yep. I can't remember what dates it changed, but the Bronson era is what I remember as being good + no doubt prior to that.

  • great great video loved grange hill went crap after the 80s

  • I loved the bully Imelda Davies, such a good actress! would love to see some footage of her in action again!

  • W-w-w-what n-n-n-no r-r-replys i-i thought everyone got pongoitus i have

  • *sniff* ahhh the memories!! forgot about that caretaker man in his yellow jacket! hahaha

Are they going to put the later series' on dvd? I see series 1, 2, 3 and 4 are out on dvd taking it to very early 80's but me being a child OF the 80's I want the later ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sadly due to lack of sales ( or should I say due to lack of promotion ) they aren't bringing any more out!

  • Great trip down memory lane that.

    Thanks for sharing it :)

  • I think it is an absolute disgrace that the BBC have decided to axe Grange Hill completely. Great video by the way.

  • Excellent compilation it brings back so many memories - well done mizzGHfan! My parents banned me from watching GH in the early 80 - they thought it was a bad influence on me!! I sneakily watched it though and after a few years they realised it wasn't as bad as they thought and my Mum would even watch it herself! LOL!! I also went to school with Erkan Mustafa (Roland) he was a very down to earth guy even though we always shouted 'Just Say No' to him all the time!!!

  • thanks for the compliment MouthOfTheSouth and for sharing your story about Erkan. :o)

  • great vid thanks

  • Thanks for the show and I loved this when I

was younger and even had an 'I love Grange Hill T shirt. LOL.

  • That was great to watch!

    Thanks for sharing! :)

  • Thanks for leaving a comment.. Glad you enjoyed it. :o)

  • @mizzGHfan Brilliant video! I think Pink Floyd's Another Brick In the Wall or Inner Circle's Bad Boys would have been perfect! Seriously you would be surprised how well they would go with Grange Hill!

I think Grange Hill was the best when Tucker and the original cast. When they left, it all went downhill. Series 7 is when Grange Hill went down the drain. I stopped watching it after that. I miss ole Tucker and his coin phrase "Flippin eck!" ^^

  • @boffinme80 Hey Boffinme.. Thanks for your kind comment. I did think about Another Brick in the Wall but decided because i grew up in the era of Madness and the fact i love Madness then they were always going to be my number one choice, as for Alice, well that's just a legend of a song. :o) I think every youngster who ever watched GH had a favourite era,, I loved the Tucker , Zammo and Gonch era...
