I saw a clip of this on an arts programme and thought it was funny. But once you get over the novelty of the title and idea, it's not very funny. It's just like some old sit-com. Disappointed,man.

Upon first viewing, it didn't seem funny - then I thought about it with the actual history in mind- there's actually a lot of clever (if gentle, dry) comedy written in here lol...and anyone who can't handle seeing any portrayal of Hitler on screen needs to stop being such a whiney little baby and deal with it. I had family living in Germany under Hitler - family who even MET Hitler (he was actually very amiable...if you weren't a Jew), family who died-I can handle this, so you have no excuse.

This series would piss neo-nazis off, teaches history, is clever, and the actor who plays Hitler is a Jew!!! Just because something has Hitler in it don't mean it's evil! HITLER IS DEAD, DEFEATED, HE IS NO MORE, HE CEASED TO BE, HE IS AN EX-DICTATOR, HE IS STONE COLD DEAD!!!! He is powerless and nothing more than ashes in a Soviet safe! The DVD set is sometimes put up on Amazon for around $19, or Ebay but you normaly have to have it shipped from Europe.

The show had too tough a target to hit. An early '90s show doing a parody of a 1950s sitcom which in turn was sending up Hitler. It was too involved and people didn't get it. Interesting idea, though.

As funny as this is, some real-life historical figures were just too evil and remembered for far too much suffering to ever be accepted as depicted in this sort of manner. That's why this show failed.
